Comments: It was a Excellent Experience considering the reviews i have read before going to the hotel.
tha hotel was renowated soo made it a really a luxory hotel with all the room facilities..
I took Ac Suite Room with Sofa, Fridge Cool Glamour Room, Balcony sea facing room with Sliding Glass Door..
Overall its excellent experience.... that too on the beach on Calangute(Quees of the Beaches)
Best Experience: Sea View,,, Room Is Excelllent.... Room Rent
Worst Experience: No Laundry

The hotel is located at the best place, as in bang on the beach, only problem here is that althought they have such an exquisite location, a govt. run hotel has to prove that its govt. enterprise. Lat month, I went with a couple of friends to Goa and booked ourselves in the Calangute residency. The website had really beautiful pictures of the resort but in reality was very dissappointing in comparison. The location is excellent and the hotel is clean but it is very shabby and unkempt. Its only worth staying there if one just needs a bed for the night to rest....

Calangute Residency was recommended as `one of the best properties of GTDC'. After having visited the hotel, I do wonder what GTDC's other properties are like, because the Calangute Residency is quite disappointing. At Rs 1,000 a night for an air-conditioned suite, the least I'd expect is cleanliness- whereas what we got was dead insects on the bedsheets; ominous stains on the pillocovers; and- this was the worst- a previous occupant's swimming trunks hung up in the bathroom!
