Candolim Beach food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Besides the beach you can do some serious shopping. Super Tailors will make you a suit or a dress in a couple of days and boutiques like Glimpses of India have up market leather goods, clothes and housewares at good prices There are dozens of jewellers that, if they haven't got what you want, will make it for you. You should take a taxi to the Wednesday market at Anjuna to do some serious haggling and bring back bargains of every description. After 7 is a wonderful restaurant in the garden of the owner's mansion. His camembert souffle is to die for! The Mermaid is run by a Goan/Swedish couple and their food is a delicious mix of the Goan and traditional.

Comments: Candolim is a very good beach to visit.
Best Experience: The beach and the food in Goa overall.
Worst Experience: The service at Ave Maria needs drastic improvement.

Great place. Close to the beach. Very cordial and friendly atmosphere. Run by the family members. They are very friendly and take care of all your needs. Special Goan dishes personally made by the owner lady are awesome and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. Supposed to be a favourite spot for foreigners....
