Candolim Beach food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Besides the beach you can do some serious shopping. Super Tailors will make you a suit or a dress in a couple of days and boutiques like Glimpses of India have up market leather goods, clothes and housewares at good prices
There are dozens of jewellers that, if they haven't got what you want, will make it for you.
You should take a taxi to the Wednesday market at Anjuna to do some serious haggling and bring back bargains of every description.
After 7 is a wonderful restaurant in the garden of the owner's mansion. His camembert souffle is to die for! The Mermaid is run by a Goan/Swedish couple and their food is a delicious mix of the Goan and traditional.

Hotel Review of Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort
Comments: It was a wonderful experience, very relaxing. Had a great time at the breakfast table every morning after the gym workout. Pretty neat and well maintained hotel. The chef and the waiters were very co-opearative and they made special Jain food as per our requirements. The near 5-star facilities were very affordable
Best Experience: I was surprised to find that such a small hotel was also wi-fi enabled. Thus I was all the time connected to my mail box for important e-mails. Although we were 5 couples + 1 bachelor, we didn't have any problems with late night chatting in the ganagway or the corridors. The Kerala Ayurvedic massage centre within the hotel was a blessing in disguise to soothe the aching muscles.
Worst Experience: A la carte menu was a little pricey. Although the chef tried their best to serve us Jain food, but they could not bring the authentic North Indian taste to the food which we ordered.

Hotel Review of Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort
I stayed here for 7 days. It was amazing. I stayed in the heritage wing of the hotel. The rooms were massive and this wing had a little private pool for the 6 rooms in the heritage wing. Four poster beds and typical goan and portguese influence in the decor of the main unit and the interiors of the rooms. They had some really cool stuff like, if we were bored, they had a dvd library where they have...

Hotel Review of Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort
We had a lovely experience at LT Amarante. We were there a couple of months back. The resort is a beautiful one indeed, with superior rooms & two heritage rooms. The restaurant in the hotel is slightly over priced, but the staff at the hotel are genuine about their love for the hotel and are extremely sincere in their service. The rooms are very tastefully done. The resort has an opening from the back to the Candolim Beach....
