I had been to this hotel in the month of august 2016 with family. Tariff was costly. The destination of excellent. Location of the hotel was outside the city and was not convenient. Appearance of the hotel was excellent from interior and exterior. Check in check out was done on time, no discount given. Service was excellent. Staff were cooperative and friendly. Room was neat and clean. All basic amenities were available in the hotel. Food was excellent in quality and quantity. Activities were held at the hotel was excellent. There is garden facility available in the hotel.
I had visited this hotel for business purpose. The room price was very high in the hotel. I had booked the room by directly. The service of the hotel was good. All facility was provided in the room. I don't have any suggestion for this hotel. The complimentary breakfast was not provided in the hotel.
The hotel was excellent. The food quality was good in the hotel. The activities were arranged by the hotel. Everything was very good in the hotel. I would recommend this hotel for upcoming travellers. I would suggest this hotel to improve the ambience of the room. The Wi-Fi facility as provided by the hotel. The hotel was located far away from the city. The service of the hotel was good.
I have visited this hotel two months back. It was part of my official tour to this particular destination. I recommend this hotel very strongly because service, ambience and the amenities are wonderful.....
I had been to Kerala for my honeymoon and stayed in Carmelia in the month of June. We saw hotels here like Elephant court, club mahindra. All these where good but Carmelia is class apart. Its like you are living in forest. They have many activities like visit to kailasam, spice tour, elephant ride and not to forget massage. Pick their package of 3N as its best.
Located in the midst of tea and cardamom plantations. Though far away from town but ideal for complete relaxation. Battery operated buggies to take you around the very big estate. Swimming pool with controlled temperature in beautiful surroundings. No choice of eating outside but food in the restaurant is just fine. The cottages are well furnished but old and the spiral staircase is a it risky. Staff is courteous and well mannered.

Excellent place!!! Must see. Hands down should be the first option to stay in this place. Excellent location!! Staff so hospitable that one feels at home!! The guide, the outdoor activities the kerela massage, the advise from there on our further trip, the welcoming and hospitable nature from everyone from the bell boys, waiters to the managers was so nice that I really felt bad when I was checking out!! I wanted to stay there more at the end of it!! The Kerela Ayurvedic Massage was also very good!!! Rooms are absolutely clean. Food very good. Clean hygienic place for kids!!! Over all ambience excellent!! Their two nite package is real value for money. Their spice trails, safari of the tea estate etc. are so well planned and with individual attention that the kids have a ball of a time!!! An experience that we can never forget!! Keep it up!!!
I went to Thekkady in Dec-10 for the 1st time & stayed at Carmelia Haven. My experience was AwEsOmE. Have already recommend many of my freiends to stay in this hotel only if they would be planning. Food, services, staff handling, location no daught & at par, worth while to spend money on such a place.
Excellent trip!!! Cochin, Allepy, Munnar & Thekady all are enchanting! We went in July 28 & back to Mumbai on Aug 3. I suppose Thekkady trip was either on 1st or 2nd Aug, not sure on exact date...
We had mixed feelings when we completed our vacation. We had planned to visit Thekkady during Christmas holidays last year. This resort was our choice after looking around at pictures provided by travel agents and going through various websites. The overall ambience of the resort is good with the generous dose of greenery engulfing the resort and the location. The resort is developed in a 53 acre plantation of tea, coffee and pepper, and the feeling of staying there is awesome. The front desk is neat and traditional in appearance and the frontal view of the resort is extremely pleasing. The cottages and rooms are well appointed and the resort is eco-friendly and clean.
It was a very pleasant experience to stay in a spice plantation. The delux cottages are spacious, well kept and clean. Elaichi plants right oppsite your room, the chirping of birds and fresh aromatic air made of stay memorable.
