"Artificially created park with deer, boating"

  • 4.0/7
  • Posted May 28, 2017
This is an artificially created nature theme park with deer, a stream, a small suspension bridge paddle boating and machan like structures. Not really worth going there unless you are passing by on the way from Madikeri to Namedropping monastery.

"Beautiful temple with intricate architecture"

It is a picnic spot with animals staying in their natural habitat. The creative paintings on bamboo trees are worth a watch. Not to forget the bridge right at the entrance gate. Must visit when you are in Coorg.

"Truly unique in its splendor"

  • 6.0/7
  • Posted Apr 19, 2016
This picnic spot even has some treehouses which can be booked. I am not sure of the experience as I just visited in the afternoon and "saw" the houses only. We spent at least 2 hours roaming around the place. There is a river streaming through the place and it is very clear! A large nature reserve which is truly unique in its splendor.

"Good place"

Very much like a children's play park. But the maintenance was also not so bad. The wooden cottages in the park were the best attraction and a great place to spend a night with your best buddies.

"Good to be with nature"

  • 5.0/7

I visited this place quite some times back. During the rains the river will be flowing in full. A small park with Deers, Rabbits, and some birds. Small eateries are there where one can have juice, tender coconut, refreshment with coffee/tea. Since Kushalnagar is nearby one can have food there.

"Nice Sightseeing place"

This is good sightseeing place to visit. We can enjoy if we go with friends or family. Cleanliness was not that good. People who are fond of shopping will feel much happier there. Costs are reasonable and varieties are good.

Deer is there you can give food to them, Rope fly is available but it cost 100 rs/person for 500 meters. Good for children's and families and lovers not for bachelors.

"Good only for children"

  • 2.0/7
  • Posted Nov 17, 2015
The place is usually crowded and the only animals I could see were Deers and Rabbits. So I would say that this place is only enjoyed by children, better go to some other place than this.

"Nisargadhama - Marvellous experience"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Nov 15, 2015
It's a place for people who wanna have some fun. At the entrance itself there is horse riding and it's pretty expensive, Rs 100 for a short distance. Once you enter you walk on hanging bridge and enjoy the beauty of Cauvery on either side. Boat ride is available only during July and August. Rabbits and Deer parks are well-maintained, you can even feed Deer. There is a small park where children can play. Here and there are Tree Houses with Trees painted in bright colours. It's an adventurous experience to climb and sit for some time in the Tree House. We even enjoy rope gliding for Rs. 100, people of every age enjoy this but you need to be bit brave. Near the Deer Park cool Cauvery River is flowing and it's a marvelous experience to play in that cool and clean water. Do carry a pair of extra cloth.

"Good man made jungle"

It has a hanging bridge which you need to cross to reach main location. It's basically a small park with some activities like rope sliding etc. Park has a deer park and we can see some Rabbit and few Birds also. In the end there is a way to river where you can hear nice sound of flowing water and spend some time with nature, take a bath and relax.
