About Chandrabadani Temple

Chandrabadani Temple, dedicated to Goddess of Power, is one of the religious shrines of Devprayag. The revered centre enshrines Goddess Idol in the sanctum. Moreover, there are some old statues and iron trishuls (tridents) placed in the temple exhibiting power.

As per Hindu Mythology, Goddess Sati, a consort of Lord Shiva, dropped her torso at this place accidentally. As a result, her weapons fell scattered at the spot.

Beside paying tribute to Goddess of Power, travellers can sight Sirkanda, Kedarnath and Badrinath peaks from the location.
