Chilligeri Estate Reviews
Overall not satisfied with our stay over here. I would recommend the travellers to search for other better home stays in Coorg. Room quality, ambience and hospitality was poor. Only good thing was about the food. Rooms are over priced and you get a feeling like staying in a college hostel. Frequent power loss is another headache.
It was family time and trip to Coorg in Apr-2014. Superb experience and we all loved the stay at Chilligeri Estate. Superb property, great food, exterior as well interior was nice. Staff was friendly and prompt service. Room was spacious, clean and very well decorated; highly recommended..
It is a very good place. We enjoyed a lot. People living in cities should definitely visit this place once. It is such a quite and calm place. I will never forget this place in my life.
chilligeri Estate had a good tariff plan on the time we visited there. Price was very much reasonable. Rooms were okay . Food was good. servic was also fine.
Well, according to me they charge you reasonably. Its always better to stay in a homestay while in coorg . so landed up at this beautiful estate. Chilligeri Estate has its own charm . I expected a bigger room . although it was congested then too the service was nice and food was just amazing . Overall that vacation was awesome.
Pretty nice, coming from north this was a welcome relief. The place is extremely beautiful and the estate is located in a quiet village and the approach to this place tingles one\'s nostalgic sides. The smell of fresh earth and the smoke made it a worthwhile experience. Life here is so unperturbed and laid back. An experience that proved not just to be a trip away from the myriad madness of the city but a peep into our own lives, so tangled and twisted. Have come back with a renewed mindset. Redemption of sorts.
The estate is beautiful and fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Located on an amazingly beautiful place it is a sight to behold. This apparently is also a minor downfall to the place as it is too inconspicuous and finding it quite a job. They have a proper agenda to cater to their customers and it is working fine and every visitor seemed pleased and at home in the estate. Spanning over a large area it provides enough ground for the adventurous lot to pick up their photography gear and go for a small photo trek.
It was really a very good time where i have enjoyed the stay with my spouse in the estate. we started the travel from Kottayam and we reach kodagu as started to have our honeymoon trip from here. we did not have any more plans of enjoying it in a grand manner, rather than enjoyin it in simple and lovely manner where it turns to me the sweet memoriesof our life and it has become one among it. We reached in the morning and we landed up in a place where we got into the chilligeri estate and a memorable day out with good and bad experience. The room was good and furnished where we had a good sleep the whole day till evening and in the evening planned to roam around the place where we visited the coffee estate and the greeny estate all over. We had the very lovely food of both non-veg and veg . The day went along with the hot water brought by the people which helped us in refreshing and moving out for visiting the rest of the places continued after having the breakfast. Finally we ended up in leaving by evening coz we have to continue our journey of enjoyment where we started in chilligeri estate.
Overall experience was totally negative. The lady who runs the show has a rude and indifferent attitude towards guests. Housekeeping is nonexistent
Chilligeri Estate is a home-stay that is distinctly unwelcoming and quite inhospitable. It is run by an old lady who views the customer as nothing more than a source of revenue. Actual service and hospitality is of zero concern to the management. The visiting guests are allotted a servant's out-house with poorly maintained beds and toilets. The guest are also treated on par with servants, as though intruding upon the home-owner's privacy. The roaches in the toilet grossed out my 6-year old daughter, who refused to step back into the home-stay. At the end of about a few hours stay we looked around and found another home-stay. When we informed the manager-lady that we wished to leave before the night, she had the gall to demand full payment for room and board. It did not concern her that the visitors chose to leave, and thus were likely dissatisfied.
Chilligeri Estate Overview
Stay with a local Coorgi family, learn how to pluck and process coffee while exploring pristine wilderness, this is what a weekend in
