Church of St. John the Baptist

The Church of St. John the Baptist is situated on a hill beyond the Benaulim town. This famous church was originally built near the shore. In 1956, this church was shifted to its present location. This church features low domes, four storeyed towers and Rococo. The main altar inside the church comprises of a plain panelling and a gallery. This church is also famous because Father Joseph Vas, who was born in Benaulim and was baptised here.
