Churu is a district known for havelis and forts constructed in the traditional Rajasthani architectural style. The exterior walls of these forts and havelis are painted with the images depicting the stories of local heroes. Walls of Kanhaiyalal Bagla Haveli, Surana Haveli and Malji Ka Kamra are decorated with the episodes from the life of Dhola and Maru, actors of a local tale. One of the prime attractions of the district is the fort built by Thakur Khushal Singh in 1739.
The Nagar Shree Museum, Laxminarayan Chandgothia Haveli and Laxminarayanji temple are some of the other major attractions of this district. Historical attractions like the Aath Kambh Chhatri and Gondia Chhatri are are also popular. The interiors of these chhatris are adorned with beautiful murals and paintings. The Raghunathji temple, Chandgothia temples, Jama Masjid, Nath Ji Ka Dhora, Sethani Ka Johara and Balaji temple are some of the other attractions in the district.
