Citrus Hotel Mahabaleshwar Reviews
Very nice property with the feel of a Royal Haveli equipped with modern facilities. Nice and big rooms, clean linen and beautiful view from window. Food was good and not very costly. Marked down by one pt. On facilities as WiFi wasn't working.. Staff was very good and always on their toes. Nice location, loved the open restaurant. Welcomed by a cup....Read More

The property is located in the market area of Mahableshwar and is very well kept. The food was really good, the rooms were also well appointed and comfortable. The best part about this resort is their staff, they are very friendly, courteous and polite. Now, the biggest complaint we had about this resort was the location. We visited this place on a....Read More
We loved the stay at Citrus Resorts. The room overlooked the valley and beautiful trees. The resort in itself during the monsoon is stunning. The service and the food was excellent. They even organized karaoke in the night.
The amenities like TV, AC and geyser were provided in the room. The internet facility was not available in the room. The check in and checkout process was done on time. The hotel was located outside the city. The complimentary food was given by the hotel. The service was done on time. The best part of the hotel was staff’s friendly all time. The ro....Read More
Food was expensive. The breakfast was spread out and good. WiFi was not working. There is no Bar in the hotel it would add value if provision for Bar is made at the hotel The rooms were quite spacious but the toilets were small. However we enjoyed the stay and had a comfortable stay.
Hotel is located near market area and very beautiful property. Staff were very cooperative. Service was excellent. Rooms are very spacious and clean. It is value for money. Breakfast was really good with lots of varieties. Front office staff was nice. We really had comfortable stay.
We booked the hotel and spent over Rs. 7000 for booking room. The room was next to kitchen and the kitchens smell use to come in all the room. Since the location was in area which is covered with forest, there was no scope to open the window, as there was huge mosquito problem in this area. Outside the hotel room, there is only one table in garden....Read More
Top Reviews of Citrus Hotel Mahabaleshwar
Citrus Resorts is very nicely located at the end of Mahabaleshwar market area. The property is very nicely kept without disturbing the jungle area nearby. You can see the monkeys on big trees from the room. The rooms are with old ethnic look but very comfortable and nice. You have children playing area, and open restaurant Cumbria sitting area with lush green grass. The food is nice but little expensive looking to other outlets. The breakfast was very nice and included mostly everything one eats with wide variety. All the amenities are very good. Had a comfortable and memorable stay for our anniversary night.
I started my trip with apprehensions about credibility of Mahabaleshwar as a hill station (as I'm an avid lover of the majestic Himalayas). However, once I reached there, my fears disappeared. Place is quaint in the lap of mother nature, not much commercialization has happened thus pollution-free. We reached hotel at around 1:30 in the afternoon, were greeted by the hotel staff and were allotted well appointed rooms immediately. Hotel location is a big plus (not far from the main market yet away from hustle-bustle and noise). Property is very attractive, a huge colonial bungalow as the main section (with suites, reception, restaurant & entertainment area) with a relatively new constructed wing comprising of deluxe and superior rooms in the back side. Greenery everywhere with seasonal flowers at full bloom. A well maintained swimming pool, enticed my son and relatives to take a plunge but they were out soon as the water was cool and it was late in the evening. Breakfast spread (included in plan) was well thought of with variations everyday and the dinner buffet comprised of variety with excellent preparations. Food quality & room service were good and quick. Other entertainment source included Table Tennis, video games, chess, carrom, cycling, small football zone, etc and a hammock in the front lawn. Rooms were clean, with all the amenities (tea/coffee maker, in room payable food items, cable TV, etc). Toilets were good with all new fittings, a glass partition for bathing area & abundant toiletries (conditioner, shampoos, etc). Linen/Towel/napkins were very clean and extra/replacement were available on a call. Hotel has ample parking space and is very close (approx. 100 mts) to the most happening place of the town (main market). Perfect for a group/family holiday, everything available, any kind of food could be ordered. What else one needs! :-) Only drawback is that on Tuesdays, there is a local market arranged on the street in front of the hotel, which restricts the vehicles entry on the road and to the hotel. Nearest parking place is around 100 meters away, which is manageable. However, the senior citizens and people with walking disabilities might like to keep it in mind while planning their trip. Would highly recommend and like to revisit & stay at, in future.
With Mumbai's climate getting all hot! We decided to chuck the summer heat and enjoy some cool pleasant climate at some hill top. And yes, Mahabaleshwar it! Though its a long journey, but we were all excited to be there. It took a long tiring 5 hrs drive to the hill top. All drained we reached the Citrus Chambers (as it states in Google Map) and looking at the surrounding of the hotel we felt refreshed. We took a little tour of the property and seeing the pool couldn’t hold ourselves to take a jump. The pool was fun! It has there goal posts for play. I am sure if you have a gang its gonna be a hell of fun!. The next amazing thing was the bed, it was soft as compared to any other hotel. Wish I could keep lying there all day. The room was cosy and comfy. It had these antique doors that gave that classic look. After long journey and dip in the pool we were super hungry. The best thing of this hotel is that they have 24 hrs room service. So, we ordered for a chicken chilly and only one word for it 'heaven'! The best food and generous quantity. Ordering is always confusing however the staff was very nice and helpful. Also, we wanted to watch a movie that was in the pendrive and our room TV was not supporting it. So, when asked for a way out to the staff he replaced the whole set-up for us. That's so sweet! This completely depends on availability. Amazing place, its pleasant in summers. If we are sportive or love nature it is a place for you. Don’t miss out on Go-karting, dirt biking, paint ball (with group), boating at Venna Lake and Horse riding. Visit to Mapro factory and garden is a must. And if you are at Mapro garden don’t forget to sip on strawberry thick shake. Relishing it is! However, we stayed for a day and missed out on many things we could do. In my next visit I will definitely would want to visit the Theme park/Water park (on my way), Velocity entertainment and going to table point. Citrus is the place at Mahabaleshwar. If you are staying there, no need to worry for anything. Even if you forget your brush the staff will get one for you. It's a calm place and w had fun and hoping the ones reading my review enjoy it too. Just one thing don’t annoy the monkeys. Hehe!
Stayed with wife in Dec 2015. Plus factors: - By far a great location at the end of Market. Walk-able distance so you have lots of option for shopping or dining outside. The overall looks and appeal is good. The dining area looks SUPERB in the evening and surely is worth sitting and having a few drinks. The food quality is better than average. The mini bar has some stuffs that is priced almost on MRP and is a good smart move that tempts us to enjoy them even if we don't need to. The staff and overall service is good. The Negatives: - Has age old window AC that makes some noise. No recreational activity what so ever apart from a Karaoke System with poor sound quality. So if you are looking to spend for more than one night plan your vacation day with your own activity. One small swimming pool that needs some maintenance along with its bathing area. The buffet cost seems over priced. Overall for one day it is okay. For honeymoon couple looking to stay indoors. well it is better that OK. Enjoy folks.
I booked 15 rooms for my 45 guests with all meals plan at Citrus Chambers for one of the conference of the Nagpur ICAI, during 18th August 2011 to 23rd August 2011 as i was the Incharge & Chairman for the same. It was a Conference cum Leasiure family gathering of Chartered Accountants families of Nagpur consisting of womens & small childrens also. We had a fantastic time at Mahabalehwar and Citrus Chambers. The Hotel was very elegantly decorated with a beautiful lobby. On arrival at midnight on 3.00 am we were welcomed by the full staff of the hotel including the General Manager. On entering the rooms, i found that the rooms were quite spacious and the layout of room was very well planned. The rooms were well decorated with all the facilities. Amazingly the Rooms were so well maintained that there was more than less than normal smell, which is usually there in the times of monsoon in the hill stations. The food quality was awesome & all our guests enjoyed the delicious food very much. Infact i can say the variety & quality of food was the show stealler. More than 100% marks for the delicious wide ranging quality food. The Staff was very couertous and helpful. The Hotel staff was available in midnight also to provide for milk for childrens. One of our guests had fast on 22nd & asked me for something which can be eaten in fast. I asked the hotel people in night at 8 pm of 21st Aug & they immidiately changed the menu for the next morning & whole day. Infact they specially prepared Aallu Paratha which was not there in the menu & packed it for our guests who went for sight seeing & eat only one time on the day of fast. The swimming pool was clean & propperly maintained even during these time of heavy monsoon & that was incredible on the hotel part as our guests enjoyed swimming also. The housekeeping staff also deserve kudos for maintaining the hotel & rooms so well during Monsoon time. The Conference hall was very well decorated & hotel aaranged a Magic Show on their own for the childrens of our group & also on our request arranged a DJ night for our Guests. The inhouse Spa was very well maintained with an expert technician & was value for money. We had 7 cars with drivers & the hotel provided woolen sheets for night & Hot water facility with washroom for all of them. The only thing which i found lacking was shortage of recreational indoor games like carrom, Table Tennis, Badminton, Pool Table etc & asked the hotel management to make provision for that in my suggestion form also. The hotel does have a beautiful playing area for childrens where childrens from our group enjoyed very much, but for people staying more than 1 night, something more is needed. In all we had a fantastic stay at Citrus Chambers and enjoyed a lot there. I personally recommend Citrus Chambers for people with family who can enjoy thier stay in the beautiful & serene Mahableshwar hassle free & enjoy their holidays to the fullest.
