This hotel is located behind the backwater. The location is awesome and the hotel staff are very kind and professional. It's very safe place to stay with family.

Worth for money. The hotel arranges a 1 hour ride in canal during the sunset which was very great moment during the stay.

We had stayed at citrus allepey for 1 night and it was a memorable stay for us. Here's our story :
We reached a pick up point and got lost to find the exact point, as the directions were not given properly. Jumped into the boat at the last minute before its departure (lucky). An upgrade of the pick boat is needed.
The ride towards resort was beautiful, the picturesque backwaters brings a smile on your face.
We were in for a surprise when we reached the resort, we had booked a lake view room but got upgraded to Pool Villa. The front desk staff were good and took care of the check in immediately.
The rooms were massive, beautifully done decor with big king size bed overlooking the stunning backwaters. A small plunge pool inside the villa to relax was feather on the cap. The bathrooms were spacious. We had a private garden in front of the villa and you can go fishing in the lake (ask for the reception to give a fishing kit). They serve tea in the evening at the floating restaurant overlooking the paddy (beautiful).
They arrange a backwater trip for all the guest and it was pretty good, for us it got a bit late due to another group who had their tour. But even then a late evening trip is well worth it.The dinner & lunch buffet were pretty decent, great taste and easy on your pockets. The traditional dance performance during the dinner was a treat to your eyes.Overall an excellent property and had a memorable experience.
Thanks Citrus

Good things first. The hotel is exceptionally beautiful. It's surrounded by the lush green paddy fields and the world famous backwaters. The property is very romantic and serene. It has an amazing lotus pond in between. The way to rooms has flowers scattered all over. You will feel as if you're in nature's haven. The service, food, staff all are good. You have to reach the hotel by jetty which again sounds wow. We were given complimentary sunset cruise and 10 min massage.

BUT

As soon as we reached our room, there were many lizards, creepy crawlies, and lacs of mosquitoes welcoming us. It just freaked us out. Totally killed our mood. We were very happy to check-out the next morning and thank god that we hadn't booked for 2 nights.

Pls avoid this hotel during monsoon.

Otherwise, good for honeymooners!

Situated just by the side of backwater. View from reception area and from the rooms in the same row of reception is very pleasant. Interior decoration of the rooms awesome, and very colourful painted pillars inside the room enriches it's beauty. Dinning room is very nice, you can enjoy beautiful Bharatnattyam dance during dinner. Food is also very good. One floating restaurant inside resort is perfect for spending afternoon teatime.

There should not be second thought for this resort. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and admirable. Also you get one hour of evening cruise in backwaters, so you don't need to go for shikara boat ride, which can save your 500 Rs. It's the best place to spend your time. Everything about the hospitality was good right from reception. Checking- in, stay, spa, kids play area and other amenities. Food was fabulous!! Cleanliness at the pool area and the corridors could have been better. Yet overall a very satisfying experience. Would recommend this place to all.

Overall, great experience. Worth for the money. Staff service is exceptional. Room kept clean with spacious bathroom. Location is unique behind backwaters with farm land on the other side. Cruise ride included with package. Breakfast and food was very good and evening traditional dance program during dinner time was unique.

Had a pleasant stay in Citrus was one of the best hotels. Good food and great view from the resort, the service provided by the management was great. Did not have much time to spend as my stay was only for 2 days. Looking forward to visit the hotel some time next year. Hopefully I get more time to spend on my next visit.

We stayed in this resort during our Kerala tour. This is a tiny island when we came here our car was parked on one side then on boat we were taken to the resort. Its a wonderful property very clean and calm. The room are good. The hospitality of the staff is excellent. Its a good place to relax and enjoy vacation. Highly recommended place specially for the ones who don't feel comfortable in house boats.

We had a good experience. We travelled there in boat house to reach that hotel at Alleppey. Location of this hotel is awesome, we enjoyed a lot there. Appearance of hotel is super. Food is good but could not adjust with Kerala dishes. Room is excellent and we are willing to visit again.
