Clifftop Club Reviews
The overall service of the hotel was good. I had visited this hotel with my family. The location of the hotel was good. The staff were well behaved in the hotel. There was no activity arranged by the hotel. There was no suggestion for this hotel.
It was in January we went to Auli and as it was a family trip we wanted anything but the best. So we booked clifftop club at Auli. It was a disaster. The hotel room if you want to pay only for the Nandadevi view than I think you can book in the GMVN instead of spending money in this place because even they share the same view. They have mentioned t....Read More
It was a good hotel. The appearance of the hotel was too good. The staffs at the hotel were also good. The room was spacious, neat, clean and well maintained. All the amenities were perfect in the room. Mountain View was seen from my room. The hotel had served all the varieties in it and it was good. The food was reasonable in price. The best thing about this Hotel is its location at such a great height. Its almost 25, 000 meters above sea level. And in the month of November it was so chilly and freezing. The rooms are so very spacious and clean with wooden flooring. And we got one of the best rooms, having the front view. The scene was breathtaking. Although there was no snowf....Read More

Location : Good : It is at the highest location at Auli with forest and accessible snow peaks on back side and scenic snow cladded peaks on front. One can see picturesque view of Nanda Devi peak from the rooms Bad : Motorable road is 1.5 kms away from hotel. For the rest 1.5 kms, you are required to take chair car. There is chair car facility which operates between 9.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m. If you don't reach before 4.30 p.m, you can't go to hotel. The chair car charge is Rs 300 per person and they take additional seats for luggage. We paid Rs 2400/- for 6 people and luggage. Hotel : Good : Hotel have suites and apartments. Though the booking was for upto 4 adults, we were 4 adults and 2 kids and stayed without paying additional for kids. Rooms are spacious with lot of sunlight and all requisites. Spacious beds, sofa sets, dining table set, Television, room heaters etc. Every room have independent balcony. Cleanliness and room service is excellent. Bad : The tieup is only for rooms. So kitchen set is not provided. Usually one carries eatables and food items but you can't cook as they don't provide hot plate and oven along with utensils for QVI members. Restaurant : Good : Food is tasty and pricing is reasonable. Service is good. Bad : The menu list is limited. But considering the geography it is fair. Amenities : Good : It have table tennis, snooker, carom and other stuff for indoor activities. Club hall is large enough to accommodate 15-20 groups. All facility is free unlike club Mahindra. Outdoor activities like trekking, horse riding, skiing are available at reasonable cost. Overall good experience. Considering harsh weather condition, 7 nights stay is too long. I actually stayed for 5 nights but family members got tired after 4th day. So 4 nights stay is ideal.
If you are looking for a tranquil company of snowy Himalayas, there is no place like Cliiftop Club Resort in Uttaranchal ! The location of the resort at Auli plus 3 kms of rugged track (which can only be commuted by a SUV like Maruti Gypsy, that too by specialist crew) scores 10 out of 10 !!! Don\'t venture driving up beyond Auli for the Clifftop Resort in your own vehicle. Instead, call up the ever friendly crew from the resort who would drive down and pick you up as if you are on a National Highway ! Auli has one of the best slopes in the world facilitating snow skiing during winters from beginning of January to the end of March. The 3 kms long slope ranges from 2519 mt to 3049 mt offers a magnificent panoramic view of central Himalayan peaks like the Nanda Devi (7817), Kamet (7756), Mana Parvat (7273) and Dronagiri (7066). Do not plan any trips to places like Badrinath, Himkund Saheb, Valley of Flowers, etc.,while you are staying at the resort. It is strongly recommended that you stay in the resort itself and explore the nature in its full glory. Early mornings are most suitable for viewing the salt-and-pepper peaks which would look like they are staring at the balcony of your room !! Don\'t forget to keep your cameras in standby mode at all times, as you are not sure when the clouds will open up and present a magnificent view, particularly in monsoons. Nearby places like Joshimath ( with Adya Shankaracharya\'s matt founded some 2500 years ago) and Tapovan (with thermal springs with miraculous healing powers on the banks of river, Dhauli Ganga provide options for short visits. The resort management and crew are sweet and take special care of you with their friendly service. The basic food and other necessities are well taken care off in the airy, roomy and self contained suites, with kitchenette attached. The celestial beauty of Uttaranchal blessed with magnificent glaciers and majestic snow clad mountains leave you with ever lasting memories in your mind and soul.
Hotel was very good. It was conveniently located. Outlook of the hotel was best. It was well-decorated and well-maintained. I did online booking. There was no problem in booking and no delay in check-in and check-out procedure. Pickup and drop facility was not required because we went there by road. Service of the staff was best. They were quick to attend to all our requests. Room was perfect so it was spacious, neat and clean. All amenities like TV, mini-freeze, etc. were available in the room. View was visible from the room. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were included in my package. Whatever you ordered they prepared it for us. Both veg and non-veg food was available there. Quality and quantity of food was very good. Scatting and other activities were provided by them. Auli as a destination was excellent. Location, appearance, booking process, service, room, food, and activities were excellent in this hotel. I had gone there in March 2013 with couple. It was a relax kind of holiday.
With a group of four friends we planned for skiing & we were there in Auli, a famous place for skiing in Dev bhoomi Uttarakhand. Hotel Clifftop Club is what we choose for our two day stay, just accomplishing its name Clifftop to reach hotel we need to ride on a cable car, which was comfortable & secure. After that, there was steep incline downwards from the Cable car station near hotel and downhill walk to the Hotel. At arrival at the hotel we noticed the beautifully designed building having greenery all across the property. Hotel has sufficient parking for the guests vehicles, interior was neat & clean so as our rooms. Housekeeping staff was punctual in there work, as wash-rooms looks clean & bad odour free. Staff was friendly & supportive. Rooms has wide glasses through which we can see the panoramic view of snow clad Mountain. Hotel staff told us the mountain ranges are Nara Narayan on the west horizon to Nandadevi (highest peak of Uttarakhand), its all looks divine everywhere. Hotel has all the amenities needed in cold weather as warm water, heater also our room has TV with cable, bed was clean & comfortable. Food offered was quite good & vegetables was so fresh & testier. One of the best stay.
it was great. there was snow atleast three ft thick, himalayan hills covered with snow, it was my first experience of seeing heavy snowfall for continous two days. WOOOOOW...........
