Awesome experience. We had the best stay with superb hospitality ever. We had got a tree house and again it was a great experience there.. Neat rooms with neat restrooms.. Good food and Good play area

It was fantastic to stay in this resort. The food was excellent.

Best Experience: The elephant raid arranged by the resort and the kalari fight in the evening was worth watching.

It was a good location. Best thing in Tekkady was the Periar River boat ride and the stretch. Otherwise this is a place full of spice shops. Good for housewives.

About Club Mahindra Tusker Trails

Club Mahindra Tusker Trails, formerly known as Taj Garden Retreat (Thekkady), is built on stilts and offers thatched accommodation in the hill district of Idukki in Kerala, 1 kilometer from the Periyar Tiger Reserve. The wildlife sanctuary spread over 777sq km with an artificial lake at its heart, is home to a wide variety of wildlife. The forest department arranges boat safaris on the Periyar Lake, elephant rides and trekking. Excursions to coffee and spice plantations that surround the retreat are also available. While the season extends from September to May, Feb-May is best for spotting wildlife by the lakeside.

Rooms & Amenities

Club Mahindra Tusker Trails offers 32 independent cottages with private balconies, a mini bar, satellite television and ISD lines. Facilities include a massage room, swimming pool, car hire, coffee shop and currency exchange. The Hornbill bar serves cocktails and mock tails and the Periyar dining room serves multi-cuisine with focus on Kerala food. A meeting room is also available that seats up to forty people.
