Its was a very refreshing stay. Diveagar is a very fresh place. Non commercialized. The resort was also good. The food could have been Better for the amount that they charged. They only have carrom board in extra activity. They could have provided hammocks. And more indoor/out door games. I would suggest that one should carry their own stuff like cricket bat/ball, football, badminton rackets, wholly ball, etc. As the resort doesn't provide any of this. And this place is just meant for relaxation. So except for the beach there is nothing else to explore. Plenty of gharbhuti (where the residents of Diveagar provide hone made food ) in Diveagar, so one must explore that. Otherwise the hotelnia good. The place is refreshing and a quick runaway from our busy lives.
They claim to be a luxury resort but there is nothing luxurious about the facilities. Room was spacious but that was it. Bathroom was cramped with a bathtub. No handshower was provided so taking a bath was a task. And the water pressure was too low. Faucet was leaky. Towels were old and hard. Wastebin in the room was stuffed to the brim; someone forgot to clean it after the previous guest checked out. We had asked for one veg and one non-veg lunch but was served two veg lunches as the manager forgot to inform the kitchen. Food was average. Water was served in used mineral water bottles, and they call themselves luxury resort. The front building architect looked hideous.
Overall this place is one good property - gr8 parking, well maintained greenery, spotless interirors at lobby and all the way to the room. we stayed at the 1st floor 105 room overlooking the main entrance. the window opens to the front entrance of the resort. Decent spaceous room thats been well made. A/c is well maintained. Clean linen. Only entertainment was a carrom board in the lounge. Lots of the lighting are led based and nicely done. bathroom is also okok. Now the not so ok part, their restaurant !!! they had a small setup and needed atleast 45mins to turn things around. Decent quality food, but the portions were pretty small. No buffet options and hence lots of limitations. Not impressive i must say. But i am given to understand that the other places around are very similar and hence not complaining too much here. They have i think 8 rooms in total with 2 of them away from the main building. A nice walk through the property leads to the rear gate and inturn leads to the beach front. Just 5mins and you are there - best part of it. The manager and the supervisors were courteous and the bell boys were nice too. Virtually running for the needs of the guests. Overvall for this department they have a 9/10 score. Surprisingly they had wifi too !!! only constraint was that you need to be in the lobby to get the range. The data connections on all the major telecoms were pathetic and only respite was this wifi for a decent fb / whatsapp ! We visited during the period 13 to 15-Nov-2015. The loads are very narrow and the traffic jams seem to be part and parcel of the tourism here. The drive from Pune to Diveagar was mostly bumpy and taxing, hence decided to take the khopoli route while the return drive. It was 200 kms (50kms more than the onward Thamini Ghat route), road conditions were almost good (leave alone a few bad patches) and took us less time than the onward drive. The beach is a good long one with nice space to enjoy with family. The crowder side was the one with the rides - boat rides, water scooter, bumpy ride, etc. For the sands they had para-gliding, quad, horse ride, camel ride, etc. Kids will enjoy it for sure and ours did. Overall conclusion - glad that we were there and may go back again at the next available chance.
The overall experience at the hotel was good. The hotel was located at the main city. The staffs at the hotel were friendly. The check in and checkout was not delayed it was on time. The interior and exterior of the hotel was good but not attractive. The room was well maintained with all the amenities at working condition. The room and the bathroom were cleaned on regular basis. The food served at the hotel was good. The quality of the food was good and at reasonable price. The activities were not organized at the hotel. I would like to recommend this hotel to other people also.
This is a very nice property located not very far from the beach. It is not a very luxurious hotel, but definitely the best hotel in Diveagar. The rooms are quite big and are very neat and clean. The negative part being that they do not have a swimming pool. The service is very good and they provide nice homely thali for lunch and dinner. Overall the ideal property to stay if visiting Diveagar.
