I had been to Cocobay Resort on Dec-15. I must admit it was one of the best place in Kerala. This place is for people who loves to relax and want to stay away from noisy city. Here you can meet with your soul. Such a peace. Very nicely located. A very well view from hotel. Room was very clean and neat. Room had all the latest amenities. Staff were very cooperative and supportive. It has few indoor games (Table Tennis, pool table, chess etc. ) that you can enjoy at free of cost. Food quality was good. Overall, I had very peaceful time at the Cocobay Resort. Highly recommended if you want to stay at Kumarakom.
The best place for relaxing in a beautiful way. You can be cheerful if your family or loving friends are with you. The hotel is located on the shore of Vembanad backwater. Very good ambiance. Short trip to the hotel in the small banana boat is really wonderful. Innocent village people on both sides of the canal exhibits the real life of villagers. Take your whole family with you for more fun. Coconut garden and the sight of back water, boat journey, food, swimming pool everything is unforgettable and a rejuvenating experience. The sunset from the garden is beautiful. There are no words to explain it. You can take some playing items like ball, cards or books to read.
I had visited this hotel with my family. The room was comfortable and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was very good. All amenities were provided in the hotel. The check-in and check-out was not delayed. The hotel was located in the center of the city.
I read all the comments the other members had posted before booking this resort but i thought as the location is good i shall give a try and found out all the comments are so true i also went throught the same problems like other members in this resort, not much of activity and facilities, again buffet issue which is like damn expensive also and when my friends argued the manager they were comparing themselves with Taj & oberoi s and asking us if we check in there even there they serve only buffet no a la carte. We were 11 of us and the buffet rate was 450 +12.5 taxes imagine blowing almost 5566x2 = 11132. So finally we argued with him and we went to near by restaurant and bought food for noon and we also asked the same guy to deliver dinner also to the resort.
This resort is definitely on top of my list of favourites in Kerala. From the boat ride to the actual entrance of the resort, the welcome, the spectacular view, the rooms, the food, this resort ticked all the boxes for me. Considering the location, it is extremely affordable. As it has only twenty rooms, one does not have to worry about crowds and noise too much. You can lounge all day in one of the hammocks or take a dip in the pool, both with the gorgeous lake to look at in front. The manager, Mr Unni, was very friendly and the staff is really nice. We also fished in the lake and the canal. If you want to relax and unwind, this resort comes highly recommended from me. Their Kerala massages are also very good, with very reasonable rates. My only regret is not staying for longer. Can't wait to go back!
