Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
Comments: Had a wonderful holiday at Coonoor. The resort is excellent, the surroundings are wonderful. The resort has been very well maintained. The cottage is very spacious with a balcony which gives you a lovely view of the mountains.

The food is fine, lot of options to choose from. The service could be improved though. The staff is very courteous and everyone always greets you warmly.

There are a few options for other activities like indoor games (TT, snooker, carrom, indoor football. etc) besides the swimming pool.

Driving to the resort itself is a bit of a challenge, the final approach road is more suited for a SUV, very steep inclination and rough patch of road.
Best Experience: Extremely peaceful location, you are completely isolated from vehicles noise.
Resort set in midst of the mountain, very lovely view of the mountain.
The swimming pool looks so inviting and the surroundings makes it one of the best experience.
Worst Experience: None

Kurumba Village Resort - I had nature hangover after i returned. Loved It So much. I was in Kurumba on 15th & 16th Sep'08 for our 1st wedding Anniversary .. I must say I didn't regret our decision. We completely enjoyed ourselves. We were given cottage - 104. Paid approx INR 5300 per night. Here's what I've to say: 1. Distance - Approx 35kms from Ooty - takes about an hour. Ahead of Coorg. Warmer during day but pleasent during nights. 2. It's...

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
Just returned from a great experience at Kurumba for two days. Everybody has already mentioned about the views from the resort, it will be boring to write the same thing, but even after the hype I am sure anyone would be awed by the majesty of the view when u experience it. Just go for it. You will feel so infinitely small when you look at the mountains from the window. You can just gaze from your room or from...

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
We had seen the website of Kurumba village and thought it a great stay for our trip down south. On reaching there you can't but be awed by the sight greeting you. The resort offers stunnig view of the mountains, esp. from the dining room and the suites. The rooms are good but they do look much better on the website than in reality. The food is just ok with no change in the menu. We stayed for 3 days...

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
The resort has been very well designed on the slopes of the mountains in the middle of a reserve forest. However, since it is not at a very great height, summer temperatures are not as low as it would be in a hill resort. The infinity edge swimming pool has a spectacular backdrop of mountains and one can spend hours just lazing in the cool waters and working up an appetite. The restaurant has been built to give a wonderful...

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
The resort is beautifully located, with the cottages dotting the hillside. The cottages are far from each other, giving each its share of privacy. The balconies open out to more hills on the other side, covered in different shades of green. Every now and then mist pours in, obscuring the hills. The swimming pool is even more wonderfully located, looking out on to the mountains, which in turn looks like it is rising right out of the pool. It was...

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
This was our first road trip this year, me n my wife were very exited to celebrate our 2nd anniversary in kurumba village resort on a 4D/3N package. The Destination: The resort is located in the ooty-mettuplayam road so the weather is idle for a relaxing getaway. Location: To begin with the road that leads to the resort is in horrible state from the hairpin bends. But once u are at the resort the location of the resort is fantastic. Even the view...

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
Strictly for nature buffs only. Its in a beautiful forest location, peaceful, nice walks, good trekking area, pleasant climate. But that's all that you get. The 'hospitality' is quite missing - no room service, confused menu, no variety in food, quality of food very poor. Even the housekeping was not done properly, rooms not clean enough, phone was not working and it took them 1 day to repair it, bed so uncomfartbale it...

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
Their tagline says ‘In the lap of nature’ but I feel that a more appropriate one would be ‘In the lap of heaven’! That’s right; Kurumba Village Resort (KVR) is truly a heaven on earth. My wife and I spent 4 days at KVR during our honeymoon and it would only be fitting to say it was the best 4 days of our lives. The trip to KVR from Ooty took us around 1.5 hours. The roads weren’t great...
