Coonoor food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Sightseeing is a very relative thing here - if you love holidays that allow you to take long walks explore tiny shops and appreciate the quaint culture that is a legacy of most Indian hill stations, you'll love Coonoor. Shopping is restricted to ayurvedic products and forest products, wooden furniture, jams and jellies from the Pomological Station, fruit, woollen clothing and tea. This is NOT the place for people who want to carry away souvenirs to place in prominent places in their living room.

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
Comments: The location is excellent. The cottage and the bathroom were spacious and neat. The huge pool in the middle with mountains around and overlooking the valley was excellent. The food was tasty and was served hot on all days.
Best Experience: We had reached late for lunch. The staff was couteous enough to provide some sandwiches and pakodas free of charge in the room itself. The staff also agreed to provide us lunch the day we checked out instead of a day earlier, as we were out sight seeing. We also requested for some lunch to be packed for our son on 2 days. The resort provided the same free of charge. The Manager also volunteered to get our car washed, even before we requested for it. Overall, the staff were flexible and understood our requirements.
Worst Experience: None

The place stands up to its punchline 'In the lap of nature'....you are awakened in the morning with a gushing stream and chirping sound of hundred birds...the view from every cottage is mindblowing....The rooms are soo well constructed in a way that there is a view from everyyy cottage, the mountains are breathtaking....The staff adds on to the location, veryy cordial and pleasant staff....

The overall experience was great. We had a cottage overlooking a waterfall that provided a unique experience. The resort does not have too many cottages and therefore was not crowded. The food was excellent. This is a place you need to go to to just spend time and relax without trying to travel around to nearby places....

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
Driving up the hair pin bends, one could never even get a glimpse of this beautiful resort. Hidden from the outside world this spice plantation resort is really awesome. It would be an ideal place to relax and just do nothing. The swimming pool is really tempting and anyone would like to take a plunge. The food is quite ok. But the stunning view of mountains and splashing stream below the restaurant make up for it. The activities are quite...

Hotel Review of Kurumba Village Resort
The resort is in a very good location, the best part of this place is the climate. I think they should plan something for the guests to experience of having a shower or playing in the natural waterfalls which is in the resort, obviously with lot of precautionary measures. The place is undoubtedly in the lap of nature. I am not able to find words to write more about 'KURUMBA VILLAGE RESORT' and 1 has to really experience it atleast...
