For a 3 star hotel it's an excellent choice. The hotel has modern rooms with every detail considered: from chargers around the bed to a spacy desk for work. Although the hotel is not in the center of Zurich I found it great in terms of atmosphere and business model.
I stayed at this hotel. The location of the hotel is easy to find. The appearance of the hotel was good. The check-in and check-out process was done on time. The hotel staff service was good and prompt. The hotel room was spacious, neat and comfortable all amenities were provided. The hotel food quality was good. There were no activities provided.
A good and economical place to enjoy weekend with family and friends. Awesome scenic view from the homestay , delicious homemade food, a good central place to access other Scenic spot/places in coorg. Good accommodation with nice friend people with well maintained premises. Economical for everyone to enjoy at low cost.
It is located at about 5 to 6 km distance from the bus stand and there was landmark to find out. Hotel appearance and the interior were good. The front desk staffs were pleasant, helpful and friendly and the room service was prompt too. The hotel management checks everything before reaching out to the guests. The room was neat, clean and comfortable with good working basic amenities and there was Mountain View from the room. I had food, which was I stayed hotel was Andhra food available and the quality and taste of the food was very good, it was a buffet. There were no activities but there was a parking space facility. They provided vehicle arrangement for sightseeing places. I stayed here for 3 days with family for relaxation and my native place Hyderabad and mother tongue Telugu.
I am just back from a 3 night trip to Madekeri Coorg from 25th Sept 2013. I went with my parents, wife and two children. I had an excellent experience at Coorg Classic Homestay with Mr Ganapathi and his wife Mrs Vivina and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. We chose this particular homestay reading other reviews and were delighted to find that all that was written was true. We knew that the experience would be different from the word go as we were suggested to cutdown the stay from 4 nights to 3 as there were not many places to visit near Madekeri. Small things like an SMS to wish us a safe and pleasant journey and a call to check that we reached home safely after a 9 hr drive make the difference. They went out of the way and beyond their call of duty to make sure that we were comfortable by doing things like providing us umbrellas, piloting our drive to the restaurant so that we were not lost on our first day gave us the impression that we were in caring hands. Mr Ganapathy has a lot of knowledge of the local geography and suggested us daily on the sightseeing trips and the roads we should take making our google maps redundant. He also suggested where we should stop for lunch etc which came very handy. The breakfast is served in the verandah and eating next to chirruping birds in the garden is a great experience .The breakfast was sumptuous, tasty and a diverse spread to say the least. They always had some local Coorg cousine, South Indian food, toast with butter and jam, eggs to order and fruits / desert. The property is in the same compound as their home in a peaceful corner close to the city centre. You could easily walk to the main market and there are many banks at a stones throw distance (so you don’t need to carry cash if you have debit cards). The two master bedrooms open into a verandah facing the garden. The whole property is kept neat and clean. The garden has a few trees and interestingly quite a few vanilla climbers. There are also a few fruit trees and a coffee plantation in the backyard. Throughout our stay we were always greeted with a smiling face. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the stay and wish them all their best.
People(hosts) around were pretty amicable. Breakfast prepared by them was traditional and goes with good family. The tourism was okay okay, not compared to Munnar or Ooty, but just fine. We went on a family holiday for refreshment and just spending some quality time together, all of our family. It was more of a relaxation holiday than a tourism, so we had enjoyed it very much. For a one time visit, yes this place is great. Would I visit Coorg again? Yes, I would, again for a relaxing holiday few years later down the line. Would I stay at the same place? Yes, I very much would. This is highly recommendable.
Coorg Classic HomeStay exceeded our expectations in every way. We recently stayed there for three nights with our 9 month old baby. Staying in Madikeri turned out to be great choice for us, and we found the town of Madikeri to be really enjoyable to explore. Vivina and Ganapathi are warm, welcoming people who have created the perfect retreat at their beautiful home. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and separate from the main house, which provides all of the needed privacy, and the attached bathroom is clean and modern. Vivina prepared the most delicious and plentiful breakfast for us each morning. Then we were free to have our lunch and dinner at the great places in town. Ganapathi and Vivina are very knowledgeable about all of the restaurants and activities in Coorg and gave us great advice during our stay and helped us to plan our day trips.
Coorg !!! The Scotland of India!!!! The destination was decided much in advance, the month of November with the nip in the air and a long weekend. We landed at Coorg Classic Homestay after contacting and confirming our booking. The host Mr Ganapathy and Hostess Vivena gave us a warm Kodava welcome and made us feel very comfortable on our arrival. The couple are warm, simple and caring to the point of perfection. The place is located in the heart of Madikeri and the ambience is quite and peaceful. The rooms are large, clean and airy. We crashed out on the comfy beds and fluffy blankets. The breakfast was typical Kodava cuisine, tasty ,exotic and an experience by itself. There is a lovely garden where on can just sit back and relax. We went around Madikeri sightseeing. It was a feast for the eyes. The three days flew by and I wished it did not end. All in all the place is good value for money and the service and hospitality experienced is one of the best ever experienced. I recommend this place to everyone who wishes to stay in Madikeri and experience the Kodava touch.!!!!! Great Hosts !!! Charming place !!! Excellent food !!! What more can I say ?
