On my family trip I visited Coorg. I went there along with my family in the month of April 2017. We booked the room directly. The location of the hotel was well placed. They took care of us well. Bus and railway station is quite far. The appearance of the hotel was beautiful. Both interior and exterior are fine. The Front office staff was responding well. The service of the hotel was prompt. The room was well maintained. The room was well kept. We had food in the hotel. It was tasty and delicious. There were no other activities.
It was a holiday trip I traveled to Coorg the month of April 2017 along with my family. I booked the room through MakeMyTrip. The destination was excellent. The location was good and easy to access. I reached the location by hired a cab. The appearance of the hotel was marvelous. The front office was good and they did check-in check-out on time. The room was kept clean and hygienic. They provide all the basic amenities and maintained very well. The food was good. I preferred restaurant facility in that hotel. The candle light dinner was worst and we did not like it. Overall service was good and satisfactory.
I visited Coorg in the month of April 2017. It was a holiday trip I went there along with my family. I booked the honey moon cottage room through a travel agency. The destination was very good. The location was good enough because it was situated interior to the city. The road along the location was narrow and difficult to ride. We reached the location by hired a taxi. The appearance of the hotel was very good. The front office was average and their service was not up to the mark. They did not well respond to the customers. The room was excellent and kept hygienically. They kept washroom neat and hygienic. The inside ambience and amenities were nice. The food was delicious and excellent. They provide lift facility. Overall it was a good and comfortable stay.
I traveled to Coorg in the month of April 2017 on a holiday trip with my friends. I booked my stay at this hotel in online through MakeMyTrip website. The hotel location was very good. We traveled by own vehicle. Parking facility was there and it was free. The appearance was just average with overall looks. The front desk was normal in the booking process. They were cooperative and friendly in nature. But it was not so impressive. Rooms were good with the cleanliness. I took AC room which had all the basic amenities. It was spacious and airy. The room service was just good. They provided complimentary breakfast in the hotel which had good taste and the quality was well maintained. It was a buffet system which had lots of varieties. It had both veg and non-veg food items. There were few fun activities in that hotel like swimming pool and all. I just used the swimming pool and it was good to take part in it. The overall service was good and very satisfactory.
On my holiday trip I visited Coorg with my family in April 2017. I reserved my stay through online. The location of the hotel was very good as it was easy to access but it was the main road picturesque location with jungle and lake the market was a bit far. The overall appearance of the hotel was average in look. The front desk was average as their welcome was not much warmer communication was average. The service was good but delay in time as they were cottages. The AC room was average as what I expected didn't get like that the interior was not much attractive. The food in the hotel was less in options in the buffet. There were Gym Spa as there was no AC in side on the top floor and over priced. They have to improve in appearance.

Stayed here for 3 nights with family (with kids and my parents) in Deluxe Balcony rooms (101 and 201). Pros - 1) Wonderful location, right next to the Harangi reservoir with a backdrop of hills and mountains. Beautiful and very serene. A perfect place to relax and make it a base camp for visiting Coorg. 2) An awesome infinity swimming pool overlooking the reservoir (not very big though) 3) Great food. Enjoyed the lunch and dinner spreads. Good variety and good taste (am vegetarian, so I cannot comment on the non-vegetarian food) 4) Good rooms. Spacious and clean. But the bathrooms could have been better designed/maintained. This could be because our rooms were slightly old. The newer rooms ("The Nest") are supposed to have the best rooms. The independent cottages looked very appealing too. 5) Good service. Special thanks to Prashant (restaurant service) and Harish (housekeeping) for their valuable help and service with always a smile. Cons - Approach road is not very good. Would give it a rating of 3 (out of 10). It is about 5-6 KM away from the main road and will take around 20 to 30 minutes to go by car. But given that Bangalore, the Hi Tech capital of the state itself has pathetic roads, you cannot expect a remote resort ensconced in nature have a well laid out super fast road! :). As we did not keep shuttling in and out of the resort often, this did not bother us much. One note - get into the resort before dark. Don't be driving out there late night as elephants are known to wander around - well, you are in a jungle, so of course! Also, familiarize yourself with the map of the location. When approaching from Kushalnagar on this road (after turning right from the main road) it will fork at one point - take the left fork to reach the resort. Right fork will take you nowhere, Signage is not very clear at this intersection. So that's it. One con. Cell phone service was k (both with Airtel and BSNL). Internet service is patchy - sometimes works great, sometimes not. Ditch your smart phone and you will have no issues. Will I stay here again? Definitely.
I traveled to Coorg in the month of April 2017. That was a family holiday trip. I booked my stay through a travel agency. The hotel was located near the lake so the view was good near the hotel. The location was not easy to reach. The road towards the hotel was not good. There were no transport and sightseeing near the hotel. The hotel was looking amazing because there were a maintained garden and swimming pool in front of the hotel. There was a well maintained swimming pool. There was fire camp in the hotel. The building was maintained very nicely. We can sit outside at a coffee table and enjoy the view of the lake and can do chitchatting. We enjoyed a lot at the swimming pool. The reception staff was able to provide all the services that we needed. They are having a good repo with the cab drivers so they will arrange the cabs immediately. Whatever we wanted services like we wanted to clean the room to change bed sheet clean washroom etc that was done by them quickly. The food we ordered was reached easily. The Spa was good in the hotel. I booked the Double bedroom deluxe room. The room has a balcony and we can see the view of the lake from there. The room size was normal. Actually we can't sit in the balcony at the evening time because the hotel was in the forest so there was a problem of insects and all. The taste of the food was tasty. We tasted veg non-veg south-Indian North-Indian food in the hotel. The raw veggies continental breakfast the non-veg food was good. We used restaurant service for food. The food was easily available and tasty so no need of going outside to have a food. We have to go to the nearby town for having food outside. I reached the hotel by cab. There was a free parking facility. There was a kid play area in the hotel. They don't have lift facility and this was one of the drawbacks. The AC pipe was left at the balcony so always that was wet and because of that can't stay on the balcony for a long time. They have to carry the medical facility. If you want to travel then this is not useful but you want to stay and enjoy then this is awesome place to stay.
The resort is exactly as how you find the pictures and 360 degree view of the resort. Moreover the staff out there are very helpful. We had a situation where our we accidentally forgot to carry our 3 year old son's antibiotic and we realized only it around 10 pm. When we approached the staff at the reception he immediately called up some one he knew in Keisha Nagar (7 KM away) who in turn purchased it as the medical shops (Pharmacy) closed down by 10. 30 pm. Since our son had chest infection and fever it was very essential that we didn't miss the dose and we cannot forget the help extended by the hotel staff especially the one manning the reception at night. We stayed in the Jungle Cottage which has very good view of the backwaters. The resorts pool is quite good and some good facility for children to play. Chef Raghu is other person who needs special mention here. He is very helpful and always takes feedback about the food. Evening DJ was quite good. The place is in the middle of the jungle and is an experience in itself. Though the approach road is not good it is still motor-able and not as bad some people have said here. We found work in full swing to relay the road. Boating and cycling are the other two activities you can enjoy here. You can also spend evening quality time on the banks (beach) of this lake. Only problem we faced here is the hot water geyser. Takes long to heat and heating is very low. Otherwise very memorable stay & value for money. Would highly recommend.
Had decided to drive down there on a short notice and did not know much about it. Turned up over there and was mind-blown with the place. The pool looked beautiful. The rooms were pretty good. The staff were polite and nice. Downside was, the food was average. Dinner was a bit of a let down, but breakfast was better. The nearest restaurant was 5 km away, which isn't far, but couldn't go because of the road. The last 5 km leading up to the resort is very bad. Best to carry food for emergency as it isn't safe to venture out post 7 (The resort is 5 kms inside a forest area). Biggest take away - The view! The resort is situated on the banks of the lagoon and it is the best thing to wake up to! I did only a one day trip, but that one day was enough to de-stress thanks to the lagoon. All I wanted to do was sit at the bank and enjoy the breeze. Except for the pool, there isn't a lot to look forward to. They have a boat and a boatman who takes you for a short lap of 10 mins, which is pretty stupid, but still worth it. I will also recommend driving/riding around to the other side of the lagoon. The view is even better from there. It is a very good place to visit. I'm surely going to go to Coorg Jungle Camp again.
Coorg the jungle camp, the name itself suggest it is inside the jungle and really it is. But, it is a very nice place. Awesome food, awesome service, awesome rooms and moreover it is within a budget. My experience is very fruitful. I will suggest one should visit that place once in a life. We have visited coorg the jungle camp late in the June. Stayed their for 2 nights and 3 days. We have travelled by private car. Location is slightly inside from the main road, but it is really an awesome place. We have stayed in the cottage room which is spacious room with all the required amenities. Our package were included with breakfast evening snack and dinner. On first day we have reached the place around 4pm. Had our snack and enjoyed evening in the hotel premises only. One can do lots of activities inside the camp itself like swimming boating cycling indoor games. Later we had awesome buffet dinner with music and enjoyed peaceful chilled night. Second day, we took heavy breakfast early in the morning and went for madikeri and saw all the spots in that area. Returned to hotel in the evening and had dinner. 3rd day again we had heavy breakfast in the morning and check-out from the hotel went to kushalnagar. Visited all the spots in that area and returned to Bangalore airport in the evening for our flight to mumbai. I am very lucky fortunate and very happy that I have gamble with the hotel and found it really an awesome romantic and relaxed place than what i was expecting.
