I went with family. We booked 3 deluxe cottages. I wanted to avoid too much travelling in Coorg, so booked this resort in place of some other hotel. Resort is nice but the tariff is high We had some confusion during booking. I have called the hotel reception by phone 5-6 days in advance about booking of the room and have asked them to send the tariff by mail. On phone they told some less tariff and they never mailed me the detailed tariff even after calling for 4-5 days continuously. On reaching the resort I found that 3 cottages were blocked for me but the price what they told was higher than what they told on phone. Also they didn't mailed me the detailed tariff which otherwise I could have used as proof. But I had no other option but to take at the price they told But apart from that booking issue, everything else was fine. Resort was lovely and beautiful. Rooms were in the form of cottages and separated from each other. Rooms were clean and spacious. The deluxe room has a extra bed but since the resort charges on per person basis, its better to take extra cottage instead of extra bed. Price will be same Breakfast and dinner was complimentary but food was average. Need to be improved. Resort has many good amenities like adventure activities, swimming pool, disco, camp-fire in the night, and evening cultural activities. You can enjoy most of the time in the resort itself instead of going for outdoor sightseeing Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service was good Overall experience was good. You can enjoy the ambience especially.
We visited this location in the month of December. It was a holiday trip. The destination was good. The surroundings of the hotel were average. The ambience of the hotel was good. The front office and reception services at the hotel were good and there was a delay in check in and checkout. The rooms in the hotel were excellent as they were spacious, neat and clean and were also hygienic. The staff at the hotel were friendly in nature. The overall services at the hotel were good. The food and drink provided at the hotel were good and there was also complimentary breakfast provided.
I am regular visitor to Coorg and like to try different resorts on every visit. This time I happen to stay at Coorg Parumpara based on information on their websites that they are theme based cultural resort. I visited with family in the month of October 2015, my feedback is as follows:. - The resort is near to Kushalnagar and has good access, although its internal and locating at night or late evenings would be difficult . - We stayed in cottage, there is nothing special to talk about cottages, rooms are very small for family with basic amenities and very average . - They have facilities like pool, place for adventure sports, badminton court, table tennis, carrom play room, of all adventure sports looked unique and badminton court looked fine, pool needs upgrade and no toilets near pool, they need to do some work here ,. - Coming to food, our package was all inclusive, breakfast was good and had traditional touch, whereas dinner was nothing special, it was very simple and I can see they are trying to save some money here, but taste and quality is good . - They promote themselves as Cultural theme resort, and we thought we would get to enjoy some cultural activities, this was huge disappointment. What they perform cannot be called as any cultural activity even remotely. We had few people who looked like forced to dance on daily basis, although they are not interested at all. They need to improve this a lot, we stayed for two days, both the days were same, we got really bored and felt very bad for promoting culture this way. I hope they really put some effort and improve on this ASAP . - Service and people in the resort are helpful, they have a spa which we did not dare to experience after looking at cultural programs ,. - I paid Rs. 12000 for 2 days including breakfast and dinner and facilities. Also, for every room service they charge 30% more, which they inform while placing order, but cost of items on menu is reasonable. Overall it's okay for one time visit, but not worth the cost.
The overall experience is good, very peaceful, calm and quite place to hangout. I have stayed in a Luxury cottage a day with my son and wife during the month of Aug-2013 . . Cottage interior found well maintained and facilities are worth for the money. Well maintained room and bathroom. Food experience is good but relatively expensive (buffet dinner and breakfast are good). To serve food to your cottage, charges 30% extra. Rooms and hotel sits bit far. Pool is good and well maintained. The size and location of the pool is extremely good. Swimming costume also bit cheap (don't bother if you have already carried a pair with you). But no swimming aids/tubes or balls available and dress change room condition also pathetic !. Attenders are very polite and sincere in nature and they will be at your service within no time. The core attraction was cultural program in Kannada. It was really amazing to watch it and I am sure all will enjoy that amazing art form . Outside cottage found left unattended and no properly lite at night, which troubled us a lot during night hours. Poorly maintained coconut trees are really a big threat for the guests. I have heard the sound of dropping coconut twice from one of the trees near to our cottage. The bicycles was one of the core attractions for my son, while seeing in the website. But out of 7-8 bicycles, one or two are hardly in riding condition. Another bad experience was, quilt and bed sheet found didn't change after the last occupant !! But taken care immediately once after informing, which was the only disgusting experience .
I visited Coorg with my friends for a holiday. It's a very nice place the climate is great there and it has some very good waterfalls. The location of the resort is great it's very easily located its near to the market place. It was a one day stay and we enjoyed ourselves there. The food was good and everything in the resort was very good. I would say it an excellent place. The resort does not have a modern look but it's a homely stay. It looks more than a home than a resort or hotel. The front office staff were very good they are very helpful. They didn't provide us any welcome drink on arrival. The overall service of the hotel was very good. Their hospitality was very good and made us feel very good our stay was awesome. The room was good they did have AC but no WiFi service. Only Vodafone and BSNL will work here. They had comfortable beds in the room. The food was good its value for money. They did organize a campfire and we enjoyed that. They don't have spa, gym or swimming pool. We searched on Google for a good stay and booked our stay here. I suggest that they should have a swimming pool, spa, and gym to give a comfortable stay for the guest. Only by providing a good hospitality to the guest is not enough. The should have additional activities to make the experience of the guest better.
