Coorg food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Coorgi Food is enjoyed best at Home stay. Coffee is their main Beverage. Nisargdham is a small island having a deer park, Elephant ride, many Tree top Sit-outs, and also offers overnight stay facilities. Bylakuppe has the largest Tibetan seettlement in India. It has a beautiful Buddhists Monastery and has many shops selling products relating to buddhism. Talacauvery is the birth place of River Cauvery and is around 50 kms from Madikeri Capital of Coorg. Good Scenic Views can be seen from the top. Raja's Seat is best visited during sunset. Abbey Falls is 5 kms from the town. The place was littered badly when we visited. A must visit place is the Dubare Elephant camp where you can bath, scrub, feed and ride the Elephant.
