Breakfast : South Indian Hotel, near bus stop. 7/10.
Also check out Krishna hotel..before 9am..8/10.
Lot of small shops to buy Elaichi and dry fruits..not much difference in rates..but

You will get the real meaning of 'Home away from Home' as you will get very good homely atmosphere, good rooms with all the facilities and nice family. This is the nice place for the couples to stay. The stay is very much accessible from the Madikeri town ( mins in Auto) and is located in very calm and neat location. Hosts treat you as thir family and and they will never let you know that you are away from...
