Coorg food, sight-seeing and shopping options
Food : Veg Lunch at Aamantrana, Near Madikeri Bus Stop. 6/10
Breakfast : South Indian Hotel, near bus stop. 7/10.
Also check out Krishna hotel..before 9am..8/10.
Lot of small shops to buy Elaichi and dry fruits..not much difference in rates..but

Hotel Review of Bethel Home Stay
Comments: Could not have asked for more .Every penny we spent there, was worth it.
Best Experience: Food,service,Staff everything was excellent and way above our expectations.Rakesh was gr8 as a host. Manju,Hamza and 2 other staff were prompt in service, courteous and humble.
Food was excellent and sumptuous. Evening trekking in the dense jungle was adventurous .And pedicure at a local spa( small flowing stream) was nice too.
This place is at the top of the hill and in the lap of nature.Cottages & Swiss tents are well made.
Kurkule and Kenjo ( 2 guard dogs) were very friendly.
Worst Experience: No bad experience as such.

Hotel Review of Bethel Home Stay
This was a long awaited holiday and we had a lot of apprehensions since we planned to take our kids(ages-2 and 4) and were wondering what kind of a holiday it would turn out to be. But to say the least ... all of us had a blast. The kids had a wonderful time and we of course simply couldn't stop raving of the place,the ambience and hospitality of Rakesh and his team....

Having planned a holiday a week in advance to beat the holiday rush of the Oct 2 weekend (we were in bethel from Sep26 -28)... we the five of us ; Ravi, unni,sindhya, latha and myself were thrilled about our newest destination; bethel homestay, near kutta in coorg. HOSPITALITY UNLIMITED. After 7 hrs of long treacherous travel from Mangalore we finally reached Bethel. The roads are pretty bad throughout and my parents were already complaining. Hi, We came across Bethel Estate when searching for home stays/resorts at Coorg and chose it as it was the highest rated and highly recommended option among others. The experience was awesome. The food was excellent. The planning was excellent and excecuted by Rakesh & Arun. their hospitality was extraordinary. We stayed 2 nights in bethel homestay. We enjoyed a lot with campfire, music and dance. I would suggest if we had different options for breakfast. We had almost the same bfast options on both the days during our stay....
