Coorg Cliffs Resort, Coorg
Hanchikad Estate PB NO-51 Pollibetta,SouthKodagu
It was a real pleasure reaching this resort after travelling nearly 190 km from Mangalore. The journey from Madikeri especially was so beautiful & scenic. We had a smooth hassle free check-in by the courteous reception staff. We were allotted a deluxe room which was quite near the dining area & also adjacent to the pool. The resort is spread over nearly 9 acres of lush plantation. All types of facilities & modern amenities are available such as a beautiful swimming pool on the deck facing valley, lovely garden with play area for kids, bicycles for children, complimentary trek around the lovely plantation, ample space for parking, accommodation as well as dining facility for drivers, FREE WIFI near reception lobby. The rooms with balconies are situated in independent ground plus one structures were spacious & most of them were facing valley where one could witness the beautiful sunset. We could hear & see all sorts of beautiful birds chirping in the early morning from our balcony. The staff were all courteous, cooperative, well-behaved & helpful. Food was lip smacking & delicious. The polite, hospitable & down to earth brothers owning the property were regularly keeping in touch with the guests. Hats off to all the brothers for maintaining & nurturing such a beautiful property. The alert managing director shri T. T. John who was always on his toes, was also mingling with the guests & looking after their needs. My special thanks to Mehrunnisa (booking division), Shri Punit (F & B Manager), Jerry, Anthony & Ravi (Front Office), Shri Kushalappa & Shri Lohit (naturalist) for making our stay so wonderful & memorable. Looking forward to visit this beautiful & romantic property again.
One of the most beautiful properties in India. Atop a hill covered on all sides by lush coffee plantations. Feels like heaven. Rooms, food and amenities are top notch and a class above. And the price is pretty reasonable as well. The infinity swimming pool was a touch of class and the service was extraordinary. The staff were extremely courteous and professional and catered to our every needs. It is very well maintained as well and is very eco friendly. Add to that the various activities they have in store and you've got your hands on a winner. The view is the main USP and rightfully so. It is just mind bogglingly. It feels unearthly and just surreal. I would definitely come back here again. Though it's still a new property it already has a lot of good reputation and considering the fact that they are still expanding I would love to see how much they have improved the perfect system. Everyone there were cheerful and met us with a smile. The food was so tasty and delicious that I couldn't stop myself from eating. Kudos to the chef's of Coorg Cliffs resort.
My wife and I stayed briefly at Coorg Cliff in November 2015. A fairly new resort with friendly staff and a pleasing ambiance (ignoring of-course the 'tree-like plaster-of-paris-sculpture-monstrosity' that you'll find to be the resort's welcome arch). Overall, a pleasant place to chill out and oh, sometimes, the restaurant converts itself into a soup kitchen at dinner time (with local folks swarming about). Well, it at-least did when I was around.
My visit to Coorg in the month of June 2016 and stayed in the Coorgcliffsresort. It was my holiday trip with couples. My travel destination was very good with necessary comforts. The hotel location was average. The appearance of the hotel was average. The staff at the reception was good as they are polite and responsive. I booked my room through online. The services which were provided in the hotel were very good because of quick response and politeness. The rooms at the hotel were very good with comfortable beds and neat bathroom. I would rate food as average.
We went to Coorg on a weekend relaxing trip. I went with my family. We choose the hotel based on previous reviews and it’s location. It's far from the main town. Our driver lost his way as it was night but the hotel staff continuously were in your contact and kept guiding us. By the time we reached it was 9 Pm we were tired and hungry. The staff are so courteous that they didn't bother with any check-in formality. Asked us to do the same next day. We ordered food which was served in our room it was hot and tasty. The ambiance and the entrance are too good. It is surrounded by greenery and is at a hill top. They are having some indoor activities like cycling and plantation tour. Swimming pool, which is well-maintained. The staff and service is excellent. It was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Strongly recommend and value for money. Looking forward to stay again in future.
