Booked this so called resort for a weekend stay with friends . From the initial reviews on Make My Trip and Trip Advisor this looked to be a good place and hence we booked this . On reaching the resort, we found the Front office to be pretty average not knowing what was coming ahead would be terrible. On getting the rooms, we found that they were pathetic, smelling of water due to seepage and the amenities in the washroom were kept half used . Since we were tired of a long journey, we proceeded to the restaurant area for lunch. We were the first ones to reach and noticed that the linens were dirty, the food was below average quality and this was enough for us to move to the Front office asking for a refund. We were offered a change of rooms and the rooms we saw then were worse with plaster falling off the walls, room quality in bad shape and more seepage . Immediately we called up Make My Trip and asked for a refund and post a 30-45 minutes discussion and explaining them of the situation this place was in we got the refund and moved out . To our surprise, this resort was firstly called a resort (I personally beg to differ for this) but was a MMT assured and Trip Advisor awarded and rated luxury resort. Probably these resort people need to visit Taj resort @ Jim Corbett or Namah to know what luxurious resorts are . At the end, would never ever recommend this place for a stay even for FREE .
Good tranquil stay. The roads were bad due to rains, can't help I suppose. The maintenance, ambience and hospitality were good. But one should fix up elephant rides and other activities in advance and directly with park authorities I think) The elephant ride that we booked was bad. Went through back yards of residential areas with all house hold garbage. Only animals we saw were domestic chicken and some wild rabbits The Jeep safari was worse. About two hours+ of drive through the forests ( out side the reserve park area) We saw absolutely nothing. Dozed off in the rickety jeep This was my second trip and was a dampener compared to the one I had in 1986. Stayed at dhikala resort managed by. Dormitory woodhouse with bunks were quite thrilling though not comfortable. The nights were good with movies, talks and the place had a good wild life library. We could hear wild animals prowling very close to the resort ( There was a moat like the one along the walls of forts) The elephant ride at 5 in the morning was wonderful. We spotted a Tiger while it was hunting an animal. Though this was in1986, I can still remember and feel exhilaration that we experienced. Now in 2013 we went with an expectation of "Encore" but it was not to be so. Bad planning I guess. So while the stay here was quite good the was hardly any sense of Adventure. ADVISE Book Early, Book With Govt agencies like and avoid Sitamarhi area because Delhi ridge may be as good.
I went there with my family. We had a very nice experience in the hotel. We didn't face much problem to reach the hotel. The hotel arranged many indoor games for tourists. Everything in the hotel was very good. The staff were very helpful and wellhead. The room was neat, clean and maintained. There was no special view available from the room. The food quality was awesome and they served both Veg and Non-Veg food. They had provided buffet system. All the amenities like TV, AC and geyser were working properly. There was delayed during check-out process. The appearance of the hotel was good from both internally and externally. We didn't face any problem in the hotel so I don't want to give any suggestion for the hotel improvement. Sightseeing trip was arranged by us. The overall destination was good.
Amenities were good. Clean and good swim area. Nice restaurant, quality and quantity food. Very good adventure activities along with proper guide. Different activities daily. Electricity failure is an issue throughout Uttarakhand but they had a generator backup Service was good. Food was offered fresh. Room services were bit slow Advice - We met a guy named Ajay over there, he took us to a local place. The place was very good. The path was a bit adventurous and when we reached, there was a beautiful less known water fall. A beautiful/must visit if you are staying here Keep mosquito repellant handy Overall, staff at the hotel was very helpful. The hotel was located in a convenient place Main drawback - It was far from the bus stand and railway station.
Superb room! Inside and outside look of the hotel was beautiful. Location of the hotel was fantastic and I was able to reach the hotel easily without any problem. Behaviour of the staff members was very nice. I do not know about the room tariff. Garden view was visible from the room window. All basic amenities were available like TV, geyser, etc. I did not face any difficulty in this hotel during my stay. Food facility was available in the hotel and it was nice. Both varieties were available there like veg and non-veg. There was no delay in check-in and check-out facility. Many activities like swimming pool, I visited there by own car with my family in 2012. Parking facility and WiFi facility were available there. Overall my destination in Corbett was value for money. I would like to recommend this hotel to other travellers. No suggestion for hotel improvement is required there.
