I recently visited Mysore along with my wife and 20 month old kid. We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites. I have stayed with them in places like Amritsar & Mussoorie, so we knew the hotel would be good. To begin with, we got an extremely good deal, including breakfast and dinner. That was the first 'wow' experience. The hotel is located towards the north of Mysore, pretty close to the Brindavan Gardens. We also planned to visit the Mysore Zoo and the Mysore Palace, which are both around 12 km from the hotel (about 20 min drive). The hotel is located very close to the Infosys campus, so I guess it is meant to cater to business travellers who visit Infosys. There is ample car parking space. There aren't any shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but the hotel has a decent variety in terms of the food options. There is a restaurant which specializes in North Indian & Mughlai food, and another restaurant which serves the breakfast and dinner buffets. The buffet was pretty good, though the spread was not as large as we have experienced in their other hotels, despite the occupancy being quite high. Room service options were also good and quite reasonably priced. The best part about the hotel though, was the staff. Our kid was not well, and so was generally irritable. Literally every staff member, from the front desk to the restaurant, tried to pacify him so we could have our meals with minimal disturbance. They were extremely accommodating with little requests like a high chair for the baby, some extra spoons, stationery etc. To keep him occupied, and in fact, some of the staff even offered to manage him while we had our dinner. A lot of the staff members were from the North East, and like most people from that part of the country, were genuinely warm and friendly. In fact, it was their support that made it a lot easier for us to manage a sick child. Similarly, room service was extremely prompt, and things landed at our door literally seconds after we requested for them. All in all, a very nice and comfortable hotel with possibly the warmest and friendliest staff you will come across. For anyone travelling to Mysore, or breaking journey in Mysore en route Coorg or Ooty, I would definitely recommend this hotel. My only feedback to the hotel is to expand the buffet spread. My previous stay with Country Inn & Suites was in Amritsar, and the buffet there is something my family remembers to this day for its lavish spread and outstanding quality of food!!
Located at Hebbal Industrial area, about 11 km from the Mysore Palace, this hotel offers you a quiet location and 5 star services. Clean and spacious rooms and courteous staff make your stay comfortable. They have great amenities - good pool, gym, TT room, children's play area and two nice restaurants both of which provide tasty food. They offer free wifi services and valet parking as well. There is a Lakshmikanta Swamy temple adjacent to the property which is worth a visit.
I had visited this hotel with my family. The gym and spa was not arranged by the hotel. The food quality was good. The room was better. Bar was available in the room. There was no delay in check in and check out. The hotel building was new. The hotel was located nearby the industrial area and bus stand. Everything was there in the hotel.
I stayed at the Country Inn hotel in the month of September 2016. I went for relaxation purpose with family. I would rate the destination excellent since I like Mysore ZOO and dhamangiri. The hotel location was very good hence it was nearby industrial area and very peaceful to stay. The appearance of the hotel is excellent as I like the restaurant. The booking and front office process was good since the staff were friendly and cooperative. The service was excellent since the staff will provide required things on time and they were very kind. The room was excellent, as it toilet was spacious and with quality furniture. The food I ate was excellent with bar facility. And also swimming pool was near to the bar. The food was quality and healthy. Activity like gym spa swimming pool was excellent. I booked the room through veena world.
Country Inn is a small and beautiful hotel which makes me come back to it again and again. It lives up to expectation of the Carlson brand. PROS 1. VALUE FOR MONEY- Facilities and ambiance offered by Country Inn at a reasonable price is absolutely unmatchable. You might find other star hotels with double the size and facilities but I can bet their tariffs would be at least thrice. 2. SERVICE - Totally floored by their exemplary service. Whether it is someone escorting you to your room or serving you at restaurant, you'll always be greeted with a smile. Till date, any service request made by me has been honored promptly. I made a request that AC was too cold, they sent the technician at 10 pm to ensure it is fixed ASAP. 3. ROOMS - Very comfortable rooms and interiors are comparable to any star hotels in India. Just that room size isn't as big as them. But very comfortable for a relaxing stay and a good night sleep. CONS 1. LIFT - I was in the lift with my wife and small daughter when power went off. Lift stopped with a big jerk. My wife is expecting and we were scared with such a jolt. My little daughter too was scared. Knowing Country Inn, I am sure they'll rectify it soon. 2. LOCATION - It is strictly a business hotel located in IT park amidst offices. There isn't anything else around (restaurants, sightseeing places). Unless you are there for official purpose or have your own vehicle, there isn't much you can do. 3. ACTIVITIES - There aren't too many activities for kids except small play area, pool and TT table. Whenever I go to Mysore, I always stay at Country Inn and would do so in future. Keep up the good work guys. You rock!
