Hotel Review of Jungle Lodges Kali Wilderness Camp
Comments: Well the resort is certainly not bad and may be best possible in Dandeli but due to the expectation we had from a Jungle Lodge property, we found in lacking in terms of service. Also if you are going for wildlife experience then go only if you have already visited other JLR destinations like KGudi, Kabini and Bandipur. Wildlife sightings is very less here and resort is situated near Dandeli city 15 Km away from Dandeli wildlife sanctuary. The only good thing about this Resort is that it acts as a good base for doing river rafting on Kali. That is a fantastic experience and our rafting instructor was also very good.
Best Experience: River rafting was very nice and well managed.
Worst Experience: We stayed for two nights 3 days and on our 3rd morning we had opted for morning Safari. But the person who manages activities there tried his best to dissuade us from doing safari because we were only person opting for Morning safari. Only on my rigid insistence he agreed for safari. It was unexpected from a Jungle Lodges staff.

I have been to Dandeli at 'Old Magazine House' resort, owned by the Jungle Lodges. The location is excellent, but the staff the worst. The people who took us to rafting turned cooks in the kitchen. The food was very poor quality. Room services were not expected by us. Even a cup to tea (bought by us) was not offered to us in a courteous manner.
