Dandi is a popular destination of tourists visiting Surat. Dandi is a place famous in the history of Indian independence movement that kindled the spark of civil disobedience amongst the masses. Salt Satyagraha, a non-violent campaign against Salt Laws levied by the British Raj on Colonial India, began with the 'Dandi March’ which stared from Sabarmati Ashram on March 12th, 1930. On April 6th, 1930, Mahatma Gandhi and his followers breached the Salt Law at Dandi, a major salt centre of India.

Carry some food and enjoy the less crowded side

good beach..go for virgin side as where travelers are more the beach is bad and dirty. No food available..you need to go some far to get some food. it better you take food with you before you visit the place

Fun at beach

Nice beech place with full enjoyment. yes it is a paisa-vasool site have bath at beach with friends and family vitist to the park near by beach after taking full enjoyment of bath

The renovated shore

It is a historical place from where Gandhi walk down to start salt satyagrah. Now the road is asphalted in good condition. she shore is beautiful. It is attractive and people of the place are very helpful.
