The hotel is situated near the market and far from station. It is in the hillside town of Darjeeling. From the window, we saw the mountains and the Darjeeling town easily. We (me and my wife) made a 3 days tour in December 2015 for Darjeeling. The priority was to get a hotel where we can easily get transport for sight seeing. Hotel Darjeeling palace is located in good place. The vehicles for sightseeing can be booked right away from the hotel also. The hotel staff arranges the sight seeing vehicle as per customer wish on sharing basis or fully booked. The staff behaved very well with us and they provided food orders on time. The hotel is also near to the famous mall road of Darjeeling as it is only few meters away. One more fact to share that this hotel has good chef for bengali food. We also tried other dishes and found that overall the food quality is good. Nearby there are many restaurants if someone wants to taste varieties of dishes.
The hotel is a budget one and located just one step down to MAL. MAL is walkable distance and there is stair case just beside the hotel to MAL. Rooms are not very good but is OK for 1-2 night stay.
