Staff was sophisticated & well-mannered

Posted 2 Jan, 2015

My overall experience in this hotel was good. The best part of this hotel was its food. There was no problem in finding the hotel because we reached there by cab. It was located very near to Mysore Palace. It was at walking distance. Market was also there in surrounding of the hotel. Many restaurants were available nearby the hotel. Staff of the hotel was sophisticated and well-mannered there. They treated us properly. Receptionist was very good by nature. They helped us for everything. There was no problem in check-in and check-out time. Their services were very nice there. Inside and outside look of the hotel was of ancient time. Rooms were good there. We had taken double bedroom. It was neat and clean. We stayed there for 2 days. They cleaned the room regularly. TV, AC, geyser, and other provided facilities were working well in the room. No view was available from there. Washroom was neat also. All the time hot and cold water was provided by them. I liked the room very much. North Indian and South Indian both types of food were good there. Quality wise, it was good. It was better than outside food. Food price was reasonable. We had no time for any activity. Mysore is a good place. Everybody should visit there at least one time. I will recommend this hotel to other travellers. Per day room tariff was Rs. 1200. It was not too costly. It was a safe experience for me. I went there with my family in October 2013.

For holiday lovers, Hotel Dasaprakash Paradise, is...

Posted 25 Aug, 2011

For holiday lovers, Hotel Dasaprakash Paradise, is really a great place to stay. Locality is very calm. Beautiful Garden in the portico invites you with lot of inhouse car parking space with Security. Even facilities like bath room / toilet are there for drivers who spend overnight in the cars. The restaurant is famous for clean South Indian Vegetarian food. In house Travel office is helpful in organising local sight seeing tours in & around Mysore, & taxi services for local trips. Though it is located in a very calm locality, the hotel is centrally located & close to famous tourist spots like Mysore Palace, Zoo, Chamundi Hills, Railway Museum, K.R.Sagar Etc. Visit to Nanjangud temple & the Historic place of Shriranga Patnam can be covered easily by taxi. Five years back I first stayed in this hotel & since then I have made four repetetive visits to Mysore. Tariff wise also it is more reasonable when compared to other similar class of Hotels, but comfort Holidaying , with clean environment & tasty food, this place can not be compared with others.

Good food, design could be better

Posted 29 Jun, 2012

I booked this hotel for an overnight stay in order to attend a friends wedding. Went with my wife and a 1.5 year old boy. My two concerns were if this place would be kid friendly and if I would be able to get to the wedding hall easily. The second concern was addressed as soon as I saw that the hall was close to the hotel. The room was fairly large, the bed was comfy and room was well furnished. The space allowed us to move around without any of us knocking into anything and the kid had a fun time crawling all over the bed. Mysore looks like a sleepy town so any plans of doing anything never crossed my mind. I did think about going to the zoo later but it turned out to be really hot at the time. We stayed within the campus which is not huge but has a decent parking area. Would have liked at least some open grassed area to let the kid loose. The toddler I'm guessing must've got quite bored. Staying indoors can get super boring with a slightly older kid. The vegetarian food was good. The staff was courteous and the reception was friendly. The stay was decent without anything worth going gaga about. I would highly recommend this place who are passing by Mysore or are in Mysore to visit the zoo, palace etc. And lowly recommend it to anyone expecting anything exciting outside the room.

Centrally located, veg food & well behaved staffs

Posted 8 Apr, 2014

Das Prakash Paradise is situated in the best housing area in Mysore, Yadavgiri. Quite, peaceful though in the middle of the city the area has one of the best setting for a relaxed stay. 100% veg food gives peace to your stomach also. Very well behaved staff and very well kept hotel. There is no compromise in terms of cleanliness. Neat rooms, best part is the beautiful huge bay windows that gives a magnificent view of Mysore, and once the night fall view gets better. They have really helpful travel desk and upon request Wifi connection. They have an impressive balance between business crowd and tourist crowd and the best part the hotel serves best for both. Proximity of the hotel is also really good. Best stay for frequent travelers via Mysore, best value for money, best food and best accommodation.

Economic hotel with good service, good food

Posted 15 Sep, 2014

Hotel was good. Overall, my experience was good there. It was economic hotel. It was hygiene and properly maintained. We felt comfortable there. Temperature maintenance was good there. Service was absolutely good. Behaviour of the staff was good. It was located in the city. Appearance wise, it was average. I went there with my family in December 2013. Room was comfortable and everything in the room was well-maintained. I had food inside and outside the hotel. Food was good in this hotel as compared to other hotels. The only thing was that restaurants were closed earlier. One day we were late but they arranged milk for children and food was not available at that time so we felt bad there. No activity was there. Cab was arranged by them for sightseeing. Staying there was value for money. I can recommend this hotel to other travelers. Limited food services should be available at late night hours.
