"An escape from a noisy society"

6.9/7
Posted 11 months ago

It's one of the best hotels secluded from society. Highly recommended for people who want some peace and quiet with good food. The activities and the surrounding make it a perfect place for relaxing photography or a good game of "jungle" cricket with a group.

"Good resort with good hospitality and awesome food"

6.0/7
Posted 1 year ago

The resort is at great location and make you feel close to nature. We stayed at sliver queen suite and it was neat and clean. The food at resort is one of the highlight, lunch, breakfast and dinner buffet were very tasty and all the items were good especially the non-veg items for lunch and dinner. I think it is best enjoyed for the climate and location. The staff were polite and helpful. Visit to Mudumalai Natural Park, Jeep safari through the forest and elephant camp are the activities generally not missed. Overall a good place to take break from city life and enjoy Mother Nature.

"Meritorious place to be with nature "

6.1/7
Posted 2 years ago

The trip was an impulse travel and hence we could not book for any accommodation in advance. We had reached Masinagudi by evening and had roamed around few places hunting for a reasonable accommodation. There are places in Masinagudi with exorbitant charges ranging up to Rs. 16, 000 per day including food. Finally we found this place De Rock. The location is not so prominent that you would easily find it. But once we reached we loved everything about the place. If you are a jungle lover, this is the place to stay because the cottages are located in close proximity to the forest. You can wake up to birds chirping, can sight deer and other animals if you take brief walk. Being south Indians we loved the breakfast served. All staff and service was excellent. Since we had gone without any advance reservation, we had to end up taking a cottage for Rs. 8000/- which accommodated six of us although later on we found that there were much cheaper cottages lying vacant.

"Moral and sterile rooms expensive pay"

4.8/7
Posted 2 years ago

Reaching the hotel was not so difficulty and appearance of the hotel was regular. The staff at the hotel were friendly and the rooms were moral and sterile. There was no view found from the room and there was no problem in registration process. No activities was organised by the hotel but the food at the hotel was good however the pay for this hotel is expensive. It was a family trip went for relaxation.

"God place to relax and value for money"

5.4/7
Posted 2 years ago

My experience there was good. I reached there by my own vehicle. I liked that resort and location of the resort was very good. Masinagudi as a destination place is good. Appearance wise, it was also good. It was very spacious. Rooms were good with basic amenities like TV, etc. It was sufficient. It was spacious and well-maintained. Pillows, mattress, or everything was clean there. Bathroom was also clean. Room and its facilities were good. Hotel was well-maintained. It was direct booking and there was no delay in check-in and check-out. Booking and front office people were very good. Overall service, staff behaviour, hospitality, and all were also very good. They were friendly and helpful in each and everything. Bonfire was there. Some games for kids to play were also available there. It was a relax kind of place. Activity part was good. They provided complimentary breakfast there. Food was good, mostly South Indian food was available in this hotel. Veg and non-veg both types of food were available there. I travelled there with my friends and family both in April 2013. It was a relaxing holiday. No suggestion is required there. It is a recommendable hotel for those people who were looking for a place just to relax. It was value for money.

"Comfortable location & appearance was amazing"

6.6/7
Posted 2 years ago

Comfortable location, it's in a forest. Appearance was amazing. Rooms were spacious and well-maintained. Everything was pretty sophisticated. There is no car parking because you can't go to the hotel in your own vehicle. About a kilometer away, there's a designated parking space, after which they take you in their own special vehicles. The food provided was very good. They have a lot of playing and campfire area. In the trees, they have huts which you can climb and look at scenery from. They also arrange for sightseeing trips, boating, taking bath in the first river etc.
