My recent stay twice in this hotel really made me very happy. Once staying in the month of February this year again dragged me with my wife and a very close friend of mine with his wife in the month of August to be their honoured guest. The warm reception and prompt attention by the staff was always appreciated by us. The cleanliness of the hotel is also worth mentioning. The restaurant services along with the quality of food was also very good. So I strongly recommend for this hotel.
Trip Advisor review for Deep Reports PURI I booked this hotel for 2 sea - facing rooms (303 & 304) for 3 days (22 - 24th Aug, Sat - Monday) through a travel agent. Please believe me when I say this is a mini hell on earth - and I am not exaggerating. Here's the examples of what I encountered : - 1. Checked in to 2 adjacent rooms (303 & 304) - my elderly father immediately complained that the bathroom was not cleaned from the previous checkout - there were faeces on the floor - ehh. 2. My 5 year old son who had jumped into the bed - bounced off the bed screaming that the pillow and bed was crawling with black ants. I took the pillow and asked the staff to call the manager to come immediately - but he refused. My wife then went down and demanded to speak to the owner but the manager on duty - Ratan Mondal misbehaved with my wife and instead of being apologetic started shouting at her. However some senior staff intervened and apologized and came to our room to 'fix' the problem 3. At night when it got too cold neither my room (304) nor my father's (303) AC's remote worked - next day we were told that the AC's were 'wired-direct' and remotes dont work. 4. Next morning I say a cockroach in the corridor. 5. Sorry did I miss telling you that my room's toilet did not lock properly and as a family we have to tell each other when we were going to the loo so protect our privacy. 6. The doors are so old that there are pieces of wood jutting out from near the knobs and I had a piece of wood pierce my finger when trying to lock my father's room (303) - and I bled a bit due to this wonderfully rusty doors of this fantastic hotel 7. On the first night ie 22nd when we could take it anymore I went to the reception and told them that we were shifting to a nearby hotel (better hotel of course - I went inside and looked at it) but when I told the manager that I wanted to check out the next morning he was rude saying why am I saying at 11 pm at night and I will have to pay the full money etc - his behaviour was bordering on being threatening. I felt unsafe and vulnerable as I was with my aged parents, spouse and 2 young children so I cancelled the other hotel's reservation and send the next two days here in this wonderful hotel. 8. On departing I asked the manager - Ashok kumar Mohapatra about the owner's contact details but he refused - and for a "complaint - book" gave me a piece of white paper to write my complain - which I am sure he has thrown away by now - and am sure the owner will never know how guests are treated in this wonderful hotel I am taking this pain to write this review so anyone who is hygienic and not part of the hoe-polli take heed and avoid this hotel to ensure they have a pleasant holiday
"Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy". Yes, the Deep Resort actually made me feel so. Honestly I was sceptical after booking was made as it was a first trip after my marriage, and you know Bong parents have their faith on Lord Jagannath more than of their child, hence it was pre-decided trip, and we, as a new couple had continuously kept saying to each other that it's not our honeymoon. However, when we stepped into the hotel, the staff from the out-side main gate actually started assisting with the most important thing - SMILE. The front desk executive didn't take much time towards paperwork & formalities, they handed over the Keys quickly, and we were assisted by the bell boys towards elevators. When the staff open the room door, I told my wife, "Oh! Yes, it's our honeymoon indeed". View was serene through the sliding door. Sea facing rooms has different tariffs in different season. Room was spacious enough but little stuffy with too many furniture. However every complaints were kept aside due to direct sea view. The attached bath had western commode, Geyser with running water 24*7. Room was equipped with AC, a small LCD, Wardrobe, sofa. Best part is there were House-keeping been done twice daily. In house restaurant, was average and price was compatibly dis-satisfactory in compare to quality. Deep Resort in one term was an excellent stay and yes romantic too in our cosy tiny balcony.
Housekeeping service is truly amazing. Food is really good and affordable. The hotel has a multi cuisine restaurant which provide excellent food. Staff are really cooperative and helpful. The service of the hotel is superb and the food quality is really fantastic. Overall it's a good budget hotel for a comfortable stay.
It was a family trip and stayed in this hotel for 2 days. We have booked 2 rooms one four bedded room and one double bed sea facing room. Double bed room is very spacious and one can have clear view of the sea. The size of the four bedded rooms is bit small in compare to double bed room but it was okay. Its more of a hotel than resort, as it does not have any amenities that a resort should have like - swimming pool / garden /open air restaurant etc. The staff are courteous and the quality of food is good and it is reasonable priced. Overall we enjoyed the stay in this hotel.
A beautiful view of sea from some of the rooms. Spacious, clean rooms, well furnished. Very good housekeeping service. Restaurant is multi-cuisine. All types except South Indian food is available. Few cottages are on roof-top. To get the good rooms (sea-facing), book the hotel in advance.
Rooms are clean, spacious and furnished. Housekeeping service were truly nice. A good restaurant is there, food is very tasty and affordable. All amenities are there in the room and wash room. For sightseeing around Puri. Reception counter will help you. I will suggest while at Puri, stay at Deep Resort Hotel.

It was a wonderful experience at PURI during Christmas vacation. Weather was absolutely fantastic. Location of Hotel Deep Resorts was the best part. It is just few steps away from the beach. Front desk staffs are very cooperative. Their travel desk is also fine. Moderate quality food is available at their restaurant with reasonable price. Advance booking is suggested. Contact No. 06752-220848 & 232834.
Honestly,i booked this hotel because i failed to get a room in other popular hotels in puri sea beach. But after staying 3 nights in a sea facing ac de-luxe room at rs 1800 /- ,i must say ,this relatively new hotel is one of best hotels to stay in puri sea beach. This hotel is situated very close to beach, just adjacent to puri hotel and fortunately ,the beach in front of the hotel is less crowded. The balcony is big, offers awesome view of sun rise, room decor is good, room service is very good. The front office staff are very helpful, arranged tour for me at very reasonable cost.
The `worst' thing which perhaps occurred to me and which may occur to you too is 'lethargy', because the sea is so near, that you may not always feel the necessity of walking even a few steps to the beach and rather devour it from the room itself. The principal attractions of Puri are Lord Jagannath and the sea. And to have a full glimpse of the sea, Deep Resort is the best. Because squatting on the balcony of the front rooms with a cup of coffee is equivalent to sitting on the sea beach. And when I wanted, I just walked downstairs, crossed the raod, and was on the beach. The overall experience was good. A taste of home made type food was quite a change as normally it is difficult to get simple food during holdiays as all hotels offer restaurant menu only.
Great view of the sea from the sea-view rooms. Well behaved, caring, warm and helpful staff. Specially caring towards senior citizens. I would strongly recommend this hotel. Food is fairly priced. The hotel is in very close proximity to the sea. The beach starts just across the road. At night one can experience the roaring sea from the room itself. Nice balcony to sit and enjoy the sight of the beautiful sea and crashing waves.
puri is a beautiful destination. the location and appearance of the hotel is great, the services offered were up to the mark. i enjoyed my stay at the resort. it was wonderful
