Dekeling Hotel, Darjeeling

I wanted to stay in a hotel which is close to the mall road and also provides good mountains view and this hotel is perfect from that perspective. very close to the mall road, provides an excellent view of Kachunjunga mountains from deluxe rooms. the booking process is really easy and the owner/managing director Mrs Norbu takes personal interest in the well being of guests. The hotel has been maintained really well and the interior wooden work speaks a lot about its maintenance. The rooms are clean and spacious with a very good view. The service is also very good and the staff is very nice.

Best Experience: The deluxe room has beautiful view of the Kanchunjunga range of mountains and the Super deluxe room are very beautiful with the wooden interiors. We got the opportunity of staying at both the rooms as the booking was done for deluxe rooms which was extended by another day at the last minute. The last minute request was taken care of and super deluxe room was provided. The restaurant downstairs provides good range of momos.

Worst Experience: none

the staff is too bad to talk to - no facilities for the guests. The roomes are too small but the rental is too high. You have to climb 3 stories to reach the rooms and that too without any lift. Infact no support from hotel staff.

Worst Experience: Had to climb 3 stories in those small stairs to reach to my room which was not up to expectations and rental was too high.
