The Deorali Orchid Sanctuary is situated next to the Namgyal Institute. It is famous for its rare and extensive collection of orchids; about 200 of the 454 species of orchid found in Sikkim can be seen here.
There is a larger orchid sanctuary called Orchidarium, off the main road to Rangpo. One can also visit the Flower Exhibition Center near White Hall which exhibits seasonal flowers, bonsai and orchids.
