About Dhuandhar Falls (Water Fall)

voted as clean
Dhuandhar Falls is located at Bhedaghat in Jabalpur. It is a popular destination among tourists as well as locals.
Edged by green trees and shrubs, the ruffled and bustling Narmada River falling down from a height is like a beautiful painting come alive. The smoke cascade formed by fine water sprays is indeed a visual treat.
One can take a dip in the cool water along the banks upstream, roam around the viewpoints, click photos or sit back and enjoy nature's tranquillity amid the loud falls. Visitors can also have a boat or ropeway ride across the river. Many people buy marble artefacts from the local vendors. It is certainly a good place to come with family and friends.
Marble Rocks, located just one kilometre from here is also worth seeing. Balancing Rocks, Chausat Yogini Temple, Tiger N Woods Forest Resort, Dumna Nature Reserve, Bastar Palace, Madan Mahal Fort and Bargi Dam are other beautiful places in Jabalpur.
The falls are sited just 2 kilometres from Nauka Vihar from where local rickshaws can be availed or else one can hire a taxi from Jabalpur town itself. The months from September to March is the best time to visit.

"Exciting Experience." new review

For the best view of the falls, you have to cross the river by ropeway and go close to the falls. There are 2 falls, quite vibrant. Two hours are sufficient to visit the place.

Approx. 25 kms from city. Open till late evening. It is slightly overrated, the place is average. Need to walk a bit. Car parking/ drop off location is at some distance.

"Not attractive"

  • 1.0/7

Just like simlp river flow, Nothing attractive. Local people come here just because it's holy narmada river. Found it to be waste of time. You have to travel there either by damaged crowded auto, or crowded bus. My advice is do not visit.

20 kms from Jabalpur city in M. P. It is a small place called Bhedaghat. River Narmada flows here and has a rapid fall. People call this place as the water here falls from a height creating mist. Highly recommended for clicking selfies, enjoying the view and bathing on a waterfall.

We have reached this place from Jabbalpur by auto-rickshaw. It took almost an hour. The way to the falls is full of shops from where one can bargain and bye variety of showpieces. The scenic beauty is just marvelous. Marble-rock is nearby, the boating option is on there.

I have visited Niagara & this one is our own smaller version. We can watch it from very close distance. The force with which water jumps from the rocks is amazing.
