About Digha Beach

The hard sandy beach of Digha with all its food stalls, park benches and activity areas are the main attraction of Digha. The waves of the sea are quite calm and fishermen roaming all around the beach with their day’s catch are a very common sight of this beach.

"A blissful and untouched beach town"
Digha Tourism
Beach town situated on the shores of Bay of Bengal, Digha is a popular tourist destination known for its untouched beaches and scenic views, especially among people in West Bengal.
Digha is a one-stop destination for families looking forward to spend a pleasurable weekend. One of the best features of this hamlet is its varied and diverse tourist attraction spots. Known for its magnificent beaches, religious temples and high-tech research centers and museums, this most popular sea resort of West Bengal has a lot to offer for people of all age groups. Digha's sceneries can also offer you the pleasure experienced in witnessing areas that have minimal human impact and are relatively untouched

"Awesome place to visit in summer"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Mar 26, 2017
Digha is a very common Week-End or Small Tour Destination near Kolakata.
You can find any Hotel and any kind of food according to your budget.
But avoid trying the FRESH SEA-FISH here. This will just burn a hole on your leaps and pocket. As we tried (in a standard Restaurant) medium sized Fresh-Tiger-Prawn (max2max 3") @ Rs. 210/ per plate with just plain rice, Dal and aloo-vaja; where that Fresh (though we found it almost fossilised) Prawn costs @Rs. 150/.
The Beach-Front is better in the Day-time as I found it too noisy & crowded in the evening.
Still.
We are planning to visit Digha very soon in this coming monsoon- fifth time again

"Old Digha is the best place to stay."

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Jan 3, 2017
Old Digha is the best place to stay. Better than New Digha, Tajpur and Mandarmani. Location and Sea beach is well decorated and Secured also after evening. So as per my suggestion, I always suggest people and friends to stay here. Food quality and price is well and good. There are several restaurant. So you may have your meal of your choice.

"Nice sea beach"

Nice sea beach with good seating arrangement & garden place, to spend early morning & evening time to relax & refreshing ourselves. During high tide, take a sea Bath seating on Wall adjacent to roadside. So many types of eateries & restaurant at/on the beach. Rescue team take care about safety warning at the time of high tide.

"Good beach in West Bengal"

  • 6.0/7

Good beach of West Bengal. Digha is a small town but has many hotels there. Beach is good. You can see sun rise in the morning and sun set in the evening. I stayed there during 21-23 February 2016 in Hotel Blue View. The hotel has sea facing rooms which have good view of the beach.

"Best peaceful place in Low budget"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Feb 23, 2016
Awesome desire and weekend spending in less budget with free WiFi. It's Best for sudden and short outing. In Old Digha Beach there are Biswa Bangla and at evening there are many hookers with sea based goods. The roar of the sea sounds are good and make you free from depression.

"Overcrowded Beach"

The beach is awesome but the crowd are overloaded and cheapness is in high level. If you are travelling in group then have and must visit otherwise opt for Radar Men.
