"Huge water body few km from city"

  • 4.0/7
  • Posted Nov 29, 2016
A huge water body just a few km apart from the Main city. Auto rickshaws are available to reach the destination. After Crossing to dimna more, some rocks and forest surround you on the move. A simple but good road.

Water is so clear and transparent that you can see your reflection. The shadows of hills around attracts more. But a little bit discomfort feels for the concrete boundaries. The other side of the lake seems to be more beautiful.

The Place is very nice and it should be marketed more. I was astonished to see the place in small town like Tatanagar.

The location some 10 km from my Hotel. But I am happy that the local person asked me to come with him for this place visit.

"A magnificent lake at the foothill of Dalma"

  • 7.0/7
  • Posted Jun 7, 2016
A manmade lake initially created to meet the water requirement of the Steel City by TISCO at the beginning of last century has developed in a massive way as a tourist attraction for the picnickers and weekend travelers. Situated at the foothills of the Dalma range, this picturesque water body also attracts a huge flock of migratory bird in winters. Situated hardly at a distance of only 3 km. From Jamshedpur it has become very popular among the morning walkers too. There are small islands present inside the lakes, which in turn provides excellent habitat for some waterbirds. Tata Steel adventure foundation organize an overnight camping programs and you are supposed to reach the islands in self made rafts. If you are fond of adventure TSAF can be contacted at their office situated in JRD Tata Sports complex. A must for all travelling to Jamshedpur to relax your thoughts.

You can click pictures of Nature. Perfect for family's visit. It's a picnic spot also in this region people come from nearby Jamshedpur like from Purulia and all. Nature at its best from the pollution free environment near an Industrial City like Jamshedpur. Must visit once for refreshing your senses.

"Things are not so charming as I has seen earlier"

  • 4.5/7
  • Posted Jan 3, 2016
I have visited this place with my wife, son-in-law, daughter and little Master Subh( Nati). Though I had visited it during my early childhood and now in third phase of my life, things are not so charming as I has seen earlier in 1965-1967. Still this place is beautiful.
