Divar Island

Divar Island is located at a distance of 6.3 km from Chorao Island. Travellers can reach the island by a ferry ride from old Goa. The island has Our Lady Compassion Church which is located at the site of an ancient Hindu temple that was destroyed by the Muslims in the 15th century.

Apart from the church, tourists can also see the ruins belonging to Kadamba era. Divar Island is visited during the celebrations of Bonderam festival. The festival is also called as the 'feast of harvest' by the villagers.
