Diveagar lies at a distance of about 19.3 km from the town of Shriwardhan. The site is popular for its beach and Lord Suvarnaganesha Temple which is dedicated to Lord Ganesha.
The temple has an idol of Lord Ganesha that is believed to be around 1000 years old. As per the folklore, the idol was discovered inside a chest full of diamonds. The statue is made of pure gold and weighs about 12 kg. The Diveagar Beach is also frequented by tourists and is known for its clean and beautiful surroundings.
