"Don\'t depend on the staff..."

Don\'t depend on the staff to inform you about anything. Please initiate yourself, ask the timing of every program they have mentioned in the package. But overall a good experience.

Best Experience: The food was really good. Wonderful Resort to stay for 3-4 days, but not more. Well maintained environment, great ambiance, staff is good most of the times.

Worst Experience: We were disappointed by the communication from the staff to the guest. 1. Nobody was picking up the house keeping phone. Later we found that it is not working. 2. There was dust in the corners of the room, below the tables, a big turn off considering the outlook of the resort. When asked about sending someone to clean up that, no one came for 45 mins, till we left. 3. Barbeque dinner and folk performances were on the cards, but no body informed us when. When we came back one evening, it was already going on and the foreign tourists were already seated and enjoying, as if they were well informed. 4. A miscommunication lead us to loose our canter safari, as it overlapped with our separately booked jeep safari, which we have already informed to the resort in advance.

"It was superb to stay..."

  • Posted Aug 26, 2010
It was superb to stay at Tiger Moon resort. This place appeared to be a unique place to accommodate among all hotels in Ranthambore. Amidst the beautiful hills of Aravali ranges Tiger Moon resort was designed so perfectly. It maintained all urban luxury facilities in a dense forest area. This appeared incredible and wonderful to me. The resort cottages in this romantic forest were built in classic style of Rajasthan. I was happy to visit the Ranthambore National Park full of majestic tigers. Sizzling bonfires at night time made us feel great. I am glad to see that the hotels in Ranthambore are maintaining a luxury style of hospitality. Yash Patel Mumbai

"The resort takes you back..."

  • Posted Oct 12, 2009
The resort takes you back to Mother Nature. With its proximity to the jungle and the way it is maintained, the resort was a big relief for us, who were there to escape from the fast and furious city life in Mumbai. The view from the watch tower(a terrace sitting specially arranged), in the moonlight was outstanding. You will feel the jungle in your nerves.

Best Experience: The best experience was their service. Always with a smile and at your service, any time.

Worst Experience: There were no bad experience from the resort.

"We took a 3d/2n package..."

  • Posted Jul 15, 2009
We took a 3d/2n package which costed us somewhere close to Rs. 6K per head, after some bargaining. This was inclusive of all meals, 2 visits to the wildlife sanctuary, and sightseeing around the Ranthambore fort. The place is beautiful and is consistent with the look of the jungle. We had also checked Tiger Den resort, but that has less of a jungle look, with perfect lawns and pruned bushes. Tiger Moon is more of a jungle decor and is just a few meters away from the jungle wall. I loved the look of Tiger Moon! Staff is very courteous, right from the time of booking to check out. When I was enquiring from home, I spoke to a Mr. Ajith Nair from Bombay who was extremely nice and gave me all details of the hotel booking as well as jungle canter rides. The one thing they can improve on is the food. Food is strictly average and not worthy of second helpings. For some reason, Tiger Den has more foreign tourists than Tiger Moon, I don\'t know why, but I\'m guessing its the effect of the pruned lawns.

Best Experience: The jungle canter ride. Simply amazing. Unfortunately, we didn\'t get to see any tigers, but it was fun.

Worst Experience: The food, mostly. Quality is just okay. One specific episode that i remember, also concerning the food, was during the bonfire (which they have on alternate days). We were given only one serving of the tandoori items that were being prepared and when we asked for more, they said it was over! Apparantly, we should have been at the bonfire earlier. We had to forcibly get on to main course at the restaurant!

"The resort in itself is..."

The resort in itself is quiet good. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Nice rooms. Food can be better especially the barbeque.

Best Experience: The entertainment around the bon fire is good.
