We are of 7 families visited Durshet forest lodge on 2nd November,2013. Its was super doper experience, Food was fantastic. Location was awesome. We enjoyed a lots. Two night three day package. Worth of money. Then we went to River rafting at Kundalika river. Great experience, longest rafting 15km. I would like to recommend this as its very great to visit and do rafting.

The activities were good but huge crowd has to wait in queue long time.
Food is good.
Rooms are OK.
Staff is very good & helpful.

Best place to go on weekend for group but not for family. Less indoor games.

It needs to upgrade in terms of facilities and better bathroom and beds in the room. Food was good. Coffee and tea needed to be better. Parking needs to be better. Because of the resort being amidst forest there are too many mosquitoes. It causes a problem if the group needs to sit outside the room n chill..if that could be taken care by some way it would be great.

We wanted to have a day away from the pace of Mumbai and decided for Durshet as it is only 3 hours from Mumbai. The place is worth a visit for all kind of travellers from the soul seekers to the family party
The amenities are well maintained with good quality service from the staff. There is a lot of walking around to be done allowing you to be in the lap of nature with a river running by. The best part of the amenities is the great homely food served to your stomach's fill. The place is very easy to find but you could do well if you avoid driving during late nights. The activities to do are average and you will have more fun walking around and discovering the property.
Its an ideal place for a peaceful get away from the hectic and polluted life in Mumbai.

It was an awesome experience.
Jungle area with a lot of basic trekking and adventure which is a must for children to also experience at a young age.
In sync with rains and nature at its best.
Staff was courteous and also very honest and helpful.
Children too enjoyed with us and the group formed turned out to be cohesive and fun.
Food was delicious and there was abundance to be had.
Worth another visit soon.

I went to this resort in july 2013 with my family and booked non ac room. When I reached resort and looked at the room and got disappointing. I asked my kids and wife to be in car only as rooms looked like dharmashala. So I asked the manager to upgrade it to ac one which was ok type rooms. Manager took difference amount and shifted us to ac room.
From activity perspective I was not informed about the activity timings so I missed it, this is not the god approach.
Food was ok nothing great.
Swimming pool is very small just for a sack.
I would recommend this place if ur looking out for just a forest lodge and for activities only not a family gateway.

The place is nice if you are focused on the greenery and enjoy the things as they come. If you are used to staying in luxury hotels, then you may not like the accommodation. The rooms are clean but basic (AC rooms may be different; we could not look at them).
The adventures are mild and still provide an experience that takes you away from your everyday existence (assuming you have an office job ). We were a group of 5 families (although we found - the way we find at all such locations - a lot of younger families and groups). Elderly persons may not find much to do here.
Staff was helpful and arranged a common housing for us with 5 different self-sufficient rooms. Central room was quite large and could have accommodated 10 persons. Of course, I believe we were charged extra for week-end.
Food was alright with some good dishes and some not cooked very well. Routine, nothing exotic. Breakfast had wider options. We were greeted by 4-5 non-venomous snakes around our dwelling. Kids were excited and the staff was quick enough to catch them and leave them outside compound (that is not a deterrent anyway).
Parking spaces are tight and may require some effort.
The overall experience however, left quite a favourable impression of the resort and we returned with a happy state of mind.

Good Adventure sports for beginners. Good food. Try to get the AC Rooms. The other room are basic. Had to ask them to change bed sheets, they put new ones on request. The adventure staff was very helpful.
Avoid going when you expect large groups to come. Good time to visit is in monsoon or winters.

We went for our office trip. We had an average experience. What we liked was food. But apart from that everything else was an average experience. Swimming pool is not maintained at all. It was rotten!

Activities - Staff was rushing to finish it fast. We were the only group for Kayaking and they wanted each person to complete it in max 10 mins. Not more then that. Although they co-operated and offered few people extra time but it was after an argument. Same experience was with Rapling.

There was no bench or place where we can sit and play among us. Rooms were ok.

Not worth a second time.
