Durshet Forest Lodge Reviews
I loved the stay at this hotel. We went from Pune over a weekend. Their rooms are good and reasonable and include food charges. Small cottages with all basic facilities. There are many activities like rock climbing, kayaking, forest trails, flying fox which you can do here. People come here in morning and go in evening but I would suggest stay here and enjoy the monsoon and greenery. They have tried to keep the place quite clean though they can keep it better still. Food is awesome, swimming pool is also good. Best in monsoons only of course. I would suggest contact them directly for booking instead of through agents who charge very high.
Durshet Forest Abode is aswell accepted as Nature Trails Resort. Yield a alternation to Khopoli from Dadar base on the axial line. Since Khopoli trains are few you can yield Karjat alternation and from Karjat you can yield Khopoli train. Check timings in m-indicator on your mobile. Get down at Khopoli and yield a rickshaw to ability the place. The air conditioned apartment are acceptable and accurate and clean, so if you searching for a affluence break you can yield those, they aswell accept dormitories and if you wish to accord your kids a feel of a camping anniversary you can break there, but the dormitories accept a accepted toilet. Its bigger to break there for a night or two so that you can analyze all the activities and adore the place, there are aswell one day trips accessible but I feel brief is a bigger option. It will yield 30 account in Rickshaw. Ideal abode for ancestors or appointment picnic. All accessories like lodge, playground, pond basin available. Morning 9 to 10 is breakfast, 1 to 2 cafeteria and 5 to 5:30 tea snacks. Cost Reasonable and arrangement can be done. Both Veg and Non Veg aliment available. Liquor not allowed. Acceptable Nature.
Overall experience was good and I face some problem to find the hotel. The external and internal appearance was good. There is no delay with check-in and check-out process. The services were average. The staff behaviour was polite and food was average provided different types of varieties but quality was average. The surrounding of hotel is neat, clean and well-maintained. There was many activities and sightseeing trip provided by the hotel. I had visited this hotel with my family. I never recommend to other travellers because stay was uncomfortable. My suggestion is to improve the quality of food.
Per day room rent was Rs. 4000 for couple. Overall my stay there was okay, not bad. It was located in the forest. There were many adventurous activities available like rock climbing, etc. Location wise, it was easy to travel. Appearance of the hotel was very good from inside and outside. Everything was natural there. There was no problem with staff. Room was little congested but it was okay. TV was not there. Geyser and other amenities were present there. Some rooms had very good view there. They provided regular room service. Room and washroom were well-maintained there. Both veg and non-veg dishes were served there but food was very simple in this hotel. Many varieties were not available there. Price wise, it was reasonable. I enjoyed rock climbing there. Safari was arranged by me for outing. It is a good hotel to other travellers. Hotel's location was very good. Overall services were also very good. Check-in and check-out process was good. Room was average. Food was good. Activities were excellent. Durshet is a very good place. I visited there three years back.

We were a group of 3 people who visited this place on a monsoon weekend in the month of August 2013. The place is quite close from Mumbai (around 1.5 hours drive from Navi Mumbai) on the main Pali-Khopoli Road. We reached the place around 9:30 AM and after parking our vehicle, completed the formalities. We were told by the staff that the breakfast was being served and immediately went there. It had poha, idli/wada sambar, tea/coffee, etc. Though the canteen was a bit crowded, specially because of some school/college trip, the food was quite good. We enjoyed the breakfast while being in the middle of forest surroundings. After taking a short rest, we went for the activities. We did the zipline first which was fairly good. Then did the mountain rapelling along the side of waterfalls. Though it was not a big climb down, it was quite fun for us, since we were doing it for the first time. The equipments provided seemed to be of decent quality as well. We then enjoyed our time at the waterfall and it was quite fun.. It was time for lunch and we moved back to the hotel. Standing in the queue for lunch, the place seemed quite chaotic and noisy, since it had lots of student crowd who were making a lot of noise and jumping queues. Again the lunch had lots of variety (dal/roti/sabzi/rice/papad,etc) with separate counter for Jain food as well and we were really impressed by the food taste. We then went for some kayaking at the Amba river behind the resort and had fun there as well, though had to check this activity with the staff depending on the rains. After some rest, we spent some time in the swimming pool, which surprisingly was not crowded at all (may be the students might not had been allowed to enter the pool by their teachers). The pool was decently clean as well. All in all, we were quite satisfied with the overall stay here and it is a good value for money place (would specially recommend for the food) However, the activities here are not of extreme nature, so it is more suited to a family kind of outing...
I had taken along a group of around 75-80 from my project team to Durshet Forest Lodge. Thsi was the first time we were visiting Naturetrails resort (We later even visited Sajan Nature Resort). Right from the intial welcome to the final farwell ..everything was just perfectly arranged and executed. Chinmay(owner) and his team of adventure freaks were extremely cordial and ensure that our stay had a lot of adventure & fun bundled together. His team arranged - rappelling, valley crossing, and some other activities during the 2 days were stayed at the resort. The best part was the flag hunt organized within the midst of the jungle and under just the moonlight. We played this treasure hunt game at night and through a virtual track that was very well planned and developed by this team. The second day was quite relaxing and the entire group had a nice time in the pool and playing some more games & some event had a repeat of rappeling. Food was quite good - both veg and non-veg.
We needed a break from the hustle butle of the city. Being the start of the summer season we also needed a cool place. So we zeroed in on Durshet. Durshet is situated on a small hill top surrounded by trees, with a river running at the back of the hill. Getting there from Pune: From the old Pune-Mumbai Highway, go straight upto Khopoli. Take a left at Khopoli Shil Phata and drive upto Pali Phata. Again take a left at Pali Phata and drive straight. You will see a Durshet Lodge sign on your left after driving for about 12 kms from Pali Phata. From the Pune-Mumbai expressway, go straight upto Khopoli exit. Take the Khopoli exit and drive upto Khopoli Shil Phata. Take a left at Khopoli Shil Phata and drive upto Pali Phata. Again take a left at Pali Phata and drive straight. You will see a Durshet Lodge sign on your left after driving for about 12 kms from Pali Phata. Accomodation: The lodge has some independent cottages (2000 Rs - 2500 Rs approx) , tents (1600-2000 Rs. approx). and some dormataries. The rooms are clean, well maintained with basic amneties. Hot water is available only in the mornings. Food: Room service is not available. Only tea is provided at your room in the morning. For the rest of the meals you have to go to the dining hall. The food is decent, not very oliy and served in buffet style. The menu for the day is mostly fixed. Activities: For recreation there is a swimming pool, TT table, carrom baord, wall climbing, small volley ball court. If you are a nature lover you can just stroll down along the river side or go bird watching in the mornings. Best time to visit: The ideal time to visit this place would be immediately after the rains when the forest cover is thick and the river is gushing. The river dries up during summer but the place still remains cool due to the surrounding trees. Note. This is not the ideal place for those who cannot do without a cell phone and TV .
The overall experience was good as it was our first time there. The room was excellent in terms of cleanliness and has everything for a comfortable stay. The food was very well prepared and lots of variety to choose from. The staff was very helpful and served us with a smile. The only disappointment was that there were only 3 activites and those were also very short. We finished all our activities within 3 hours and then we had the complete afternoon till evening with nothing to do.
Location of the cottages is convenient to reach places. Appearance was good and well maintained. These are village style cottages, you can't expect luxury but they were well maintained and comfortable. There was nature walk arranged for guests.
