This
is one of the best trekking spots in the entire North-Eastern Region.
Situated 2438 m above sea level behind the Japfu peak, the valley changes its
appearance according to the seasons.
For most of the year, it is
covered with a type of tough bamboo bush which somewhat resembles a mown lawn.
Winters bring with it sub-zero temperatures and frozen streams. In summers wild
herbs sprout along the river banks. And from June to September the entire
valley is a carpet of flowers. White and yellow lilies, the aconitum, the
euphorbia and hundreds of other species of flowers in varied colours bloom all
over the valley. Even the hills surrounding the valley have trees of multi
coloured Rhododendrons.
