I had been to Thekkady(Periyar) during the month of january 2017 and booked the room in the Eletaria Resort . It was my holiday trip with family. The destination Thekkady(Periyar) was excellent. I would rate the location as very good because it is at main center. I would rate the appearance of the hotel as very good. I would rate the front desk staff as very good as they are friendly and provided correct information. I booked this hotel via travel agencies. I would rate the services in the hotel were very good with immediate response. The hotel room was good. The hotel food was average.
This is a very good resort. The staff were friendly and cooperative. The rooms were good. The food was very delicious. The resort area has a very cool weather. There are many outdoor activities at the resort. The staff assisted in planning our tour. Overall very good stay experience.
Stay for even one day in Eletaria Resort during my trip to Kerala was a experience in itself. The resort is situated about 30 km before Thekkady on the road from Munnar to Thekkady. Go on seeing the sign boards, you might miss it. I stayed with my family in February 2015. We were amazed and mesmerized to see the beautiful scenic natural green surroundings. Initially I was sceptical about the place as i couldn't see many guests. The manager and the skeletal support staff was very courteous polite and helpful. The manager upgraded our room. There is ample parking space with facilities for the drivers too. There were spices (mainly Elaichi) grown in and around the resort. One of the staff took us to a tour of the garden. The rooms were spacious, very neat and clean, and so was the bathroom. We had a common balcony in front of the room to enjoy the scenery. There was a swimming pool too but non-functional at that time. The nights were really cool. You should ask for extra blankets. At night we could hear melodious devotional songs coming from a nearby temple. In the morning there was mist and fog everywhere to make it look like a haunted mesmerising place. The dining area was spacious but the food and the breakfast lacked variety and taste more so to us from North. We have to order 30-45 minutes before as it is prepared on order only. Just remember there is no market place or shops nearby. Take everything you need from Munnar or Thekkday only. No other recreation facility was available at that time in the resort. There are some tree houses too with beautiful view of the resort. Most Kerala trips are Cochin (1 night), Munnar ( 2 night), Thekkady ( 1 night), Alleppey (1 night), Kovalam (1 night), KanyaKumari (1 night). So was ours, but I recommend at least two night stay in Eletaria Resort. This way you will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of this place. So make the plan to stay in Munnar for one night only and start from Munnar on the second afternoon (about 4 pm) and reach this resort in 2 hours. Stay here and then proceed for Periyar the next day and come back for another night stay. (Though you have to travel back to this resort (30 km) from Thekkady ) but worth the effort.
Very calm place. Full of natural beauty. Garden is full of multiple type of flowers. Lots of butterfly. Neat and clean room. The staff was little bit lazy in terms of serving food. Food was very expensive. They really need to work of their hospitality as well as the quality of food.
It was very nice hotel. We enjoyed nature to its best during our stay in the hotel. Facilities, location and service all were very good. Food was also nice. And the manager and other hotel people were also very friendly. We will recommend it to friends.
Purpose of visit was relaxation and holiday. Room was not very good. Housekeeping not up to the mark. Ambiance and surrounding was good. Swimming pool and other activities was very good. Food was not very good. The staff was good and courteous. Rooms could have been a more spacious.
