I have been in this resort in the month of April with my family. The approach and the view of the hotel is fantastic. The proprietor of the hotel was quite a gentleman. Though we reached late night ie around 1, gave us full attention. Room inside was neat and clean. Breakfast was good and complementary, lunch was delicious. But do not go for massage as it was not worth it.

Stay for even one day in Eletaria Resort during my trip to Kerala was a experience in itself. The resort is situated about 30 km before Thekkady on the road from Munnar to Thekkady. Go on seeing the sign boards, you might miss it.

I stayed with my family in February 2015. We were amazed and mesmerized to see the beautiful scenic natural green surroundings. Initially I was sceptical about the place as i couldn't see many guests. The manager and the skeletal support staff was very courteous polite and helpful. The manager upgraded our room. There is ample parking space with facilities for the drivers too. There were spices (mainly Elaichi) grown in and around the resort. One of the staff took us to a tour of the garden.

The rooms were spacious, very neat and clean, and so was the bathroom. We had a common balcony in front of the room to enjoy the scenery. There was a swimming pool too but non-functional at that time. The nights were really cool. You should ask for extra blankets. At night we could hear melodious devotional songs coming from a nearby temple. In the morning there was mist and fog everywhere to make it look like a haunted mesmerising place.

The dining area was spacious but the food and the breakfast lacked variety and taste more so to us from North. We have to order 30-45 minutes before as it is prepared on order only.

Just remember there is no market place or shops nearby. Take everything you need from Munnar or Thekkday only. No other recreation facility was available at that time in the resort. There are some tree houses too with beautiful view of the resort.

Most Kerala trips are Cochin (1 night), Munnar ( 2 night), Thekkady ( 1 night), Alleppey (1 night), Kovalam (1 night), KanyaKumari (1 night). So was ours, but I recommend at least two night stay in Eletaria Resort. This way you will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of this place. So make the plan to stay in Munnar for one night only and start from Munnar on the second afternoon (about 4 pm) and reach this resort in 2 hours. Stay here and then proceed for Periyar the next day and come back for another night stay. (Though you have to travel back to this resort (30 km) from Thekkady ) but worth the effort.

The hotel was very nice and beautiful. Rooms were very clean and room service was quick. There is a swimming pool, table tennis and carom for other activities. Had great time in hotel. Breakfast menu was good.

The hotel manager helped us in deciding where to go and what to leave. His suggestions was worth. Thanks to him we had some great time in Thekkady. Otherwise I feel Thekkady is very overrated tourist places. Big no for youngsters and fun loving people.

We spent 2 nights in Thekkady (1 night at Hotel Spice Grove and the next one at Eletaria resort). The experience in the resort became terrible and we suffered due to multiple issues here. I have booked 4 rooms through Goibibo in this resort in September, 2014 as we went as a group of people.

When we reached there, it was heavily raining. We found it difficult to get help from parking area to the rooms. We ordered the food as soon as we reached there as the managers said it will take 40 minutes for the food preparation. But finally they delivered our food after nearly 2 hours making all of wait being so hungry.

When they showed rooms, it was shocking. The rooms had lots of insects inside in bedrooms and bathrooms. And inside bathrooms, it was very unclean with lots of excretion of lizards and insects.

When we made a complaint, the manager said these were standard rooms and we get only standard rooms when we book it through online. In one of the rooms there were lots of water clogging in bathrooms and some water in bed rooms too. On the switch panels, we saw so much of water drops (probably leaked through electrical wiring pipes). When we made complaint, one guy came and wiped the water drops and said it's OK now. We were shocked. We told them we need another room as there may be more water coming inside because it was intermittently raining.

Finally with so much of stress from us, they gave one luxury room. The manager was not at all friendly when these conversations happened. When my wife asked one lady-manager there - what will be the menu for breakfast, the answer from her was - the cooks are very tensed due to workload. I can't go and ask them now, this was very shocking.

Though there is some greenery around, there are no activities that you can do. The overall experience was terrible. I'm a person who usually go for tours every 3 months. This is the worst ever experience in the recent years. If you do not care about service, activities and food, you can still try this place because of its location but book the luxury rooms. Otherwise, the major problem with this resort is missing professionalism.

The hotel was far from the city, it is not easy to find the hotel. The appearance of the hotel was good, the rooms were spacious, neat, clean well-maintained. The room had all basic facilities and amenities was in good working condition. There was no view of the garden from the room. The service of the staff was friendly cooperative. The quality of food was good had both varieties of veg and non-veg facilities were available, it was hygienic and tasty. They should improve the hotel because it was like a lonely place. The hotel management should give advertise about the hotel. So the people can come to the hotel. The hotel was not having the swimming pool facility. There was no delay in check-in and check-out process. The hotel was value for money.

Being we had a family trip, we visited decide & stayed in Elantra Hotel. There was no difficulty in identifying the said hotel, the service of the Hotel was good with all amenities with good food as we had only dinner & staff were friendly, we were unable to visit some of the location like a Periyar century as we have travelled to this location. Hotel Rooms were good & neat; I recommend booking the trips in this particular hotel in advance with the necessary arrangements to view all the sites in this location to make this trip successful.

Hotel was located at about 29 kms distance from Thekkady. I stayed there for only one night. Hotel was of an average quality. I did not taste my food in the hotel. Rooms were okay. I did not use any activity in this hotel. Location of the hotel was below average. Services were okay. I will recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel was conveniently located but little away from the city. Appearance was good. No inconvenience in check-in and check-out. Room service was average. Staff and management was polite and friendly. Room was spacious and well-maintained. Amenities were working properly. The resort was located in the jungle. The rooms had garden view. Food was good and had variety of the food. The restaurant in the hotel needs to be improved. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers also.

The hotel location was excellent. The appearance of the hotel from inside and outside was nice. There was no delay in check-in and check-out process. There were indoor and outdoor games. There was pool. The room allotted was good. It had all the amenities in working conditions. The money spent was worthy. The hotel can be recommended to other travels as it is a very good place.
