The hotel location is very convenient and close to the main market. The decor of the hotel is fantastic, especially the library and bar next to the reception. Hotel staff were very helpful especially considering we were travelling with a one year old. Room was spacious and comfortable but I was maybe expecting a slightly better view. One thing which they can improve on is the menu. The buffet gets a bit boring if you have a longish stay here.

Elgin Darjeeling is among the most beautiful hotel in Darjeeling. Right in center of the city it's view was simply amazing. We cannot imagine anything better than this for our special trip. We just loved the food and services. We will recommend if you are going Darjeeling you should stay in Elgin, if will surely give you the pleasure of the era.

Centrally located in the heart of Darjeeling very near to Chowrasta Mall Road, very nice property, staff are too good, nice spread of buffet breakfast and dinner. I stayed for two nights in December, rooms on ground floor have a nice view, If you're looking for an unhurried holiday where you will be pampered and all plans will be made for you - then this is the place for you.

The hotel location was convenient. It was near to the city. The hotel did not provide pick up and drop facility. The hotel staff was good and helpful. The hotel room was spacious, neat, clean and well maintained. The room amenities were in good condition. I was able to see Mountain View from my room. I had no delay in check in and check out. The hotel food was good in quality and quantity. I would like to recommend this hotel to other tourist as I am satisfied with the services of the hotel.

The stay was fine in the hotel. I was having my own car. The room was neat, clean and well maintained. All the basic amenities were in good condition. I have breakfast in the hotel it was good. The quality of the food was good. There was indoor and outdoor games but no swimming pool and gym. The staff was friendly. There was no delay in check in and out facility. I was satisfied with the facility provided. I will recommend the hotel to other travellers. I went on a personal trip. The hotel only arranges the car for sightseeing.

The hotel is a heritage property, offering cosy comfortable quaint ambience that distinctly remind you if the Raj era. Darjeeling was once the summer capital of the British, and some fine properties like the Elgin that excludes the old world charm are reminiscent of those historic times. Each bedroom in the hotel offers magnificent views of the snow capped mountains and peaks; a unique and personal tryst with the Himalayas.

This is one of the best hotels in Darjeeling, just loved it. Went there with my family. At 4:00 in the morning we got up and went to the Tiger Hills. For this you'll have to book a cab the day before. If the weather is clear you'll be able to see Mt. Kanchenjunga. The rays of the sun made it even more beautiful. The service of the hotel was quite good. We also went to the Bengal Natural History Museum. The Mall Road where only pedestrians are allowed was a very good place. Road-side shops, everything was just awesome. Only one problem is that Darjeeling is not too clean. The rooms where we stayed were made of wooden walls, wooden floors, big portraits hanging. There was no fan or AC in the room, still we were wrapped in blankets. The roadside yummy steamed momos and corns are an experience not to miss.

Hotel Elgin as the name suggests gives us a royal feeling, me and my husband got a very royal and elegant welcome. Rooms were awesome with gentle and well behaved staff and room service. Food was with variety and good. Interior is good, there was no pool, at night we had beautiful sight from windows.

The Elgin, Darjeeling was a very good example of a poor quality. Especially the cleanness of the rooms and hotel facilities. The room given to us was not even a standard room (which was promised). The view from the hotel is not worth as it is surrounded by buildings. The breakfast could have been a bit better however decent enough. The dinner food was more than acceptable. I would strongly not recommend this hotel.

This is one of the premium hotels of Darjeeling, rooms was superb. Corridors are fully covered with red carpet feels like you in a palace. Outside views are very good it contains a small lawn with beautiful flowers and shed year and one other best thing is it’s hardly 5 min walking distance away from Mall road. Hotel has a separate bar area with superior interiors and very good restaurant with candle light dinner. Staff is also very help full and educated. Overall its best hotel to spend your days specially for couples and family.
