Day 01: Arrival Srinagar – Local Sight Seeing:
Morning Arrival Transfer with Assistance to Dlx. Houseboat Hotel for check in PM. After Lunch Proceed to Local Sight Seeing Tour of Mughal Garden(Cheshma Shahi or the Royal Spring was laid by Shah Jahan in 1632 A.D. It is 9 Km. from the city centre and is famous for a spring of refreshment digestive water, having a natural spring of Pure, Cool and sparking water.
Nishat Garden The Garden of bliss laid down by Asif Khan Father of Empress Noorjahan in 1633AD on the bank of Dal Lake with Zabarvan Massif at the back. In Nishat commands magnificent view of the Lake and the Snow capped Pir Panchal Range to the west of the valley.& Shalimar Bagh :The Abode Of Love. Is said to have been a village, built by Paravarassna II. He used to stay here when on a visit to Sukhswami a saint living near Harwan. In 1619 Jehangir ordered a garden to be laid out this spot, calling it, Ferrah Bakkash (Delightful). In 1727 A.D Zaffar-Khan. A governor during the reign of Shah Jahan made an extension of it and called it Faiz Baksh (Bountiful).
Shankracharya Temple In 371 BC, the temple is said to have been built by Raja Gopadatya. At that time, the temple was named as 'Gopadari', after the name of the King. It is believed that Shankracharya, the great philosopher, lived here during his trip to Kashmir. The legend left the place centuries ago, ever since, the temple came to be known as Shankaracharya Temple.evening Return back to Dlx Houseboat or Hotel for Dinner & Overnight Stay
Day 02: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar:
After Breakfast Proceed towards Sonamarg, which means ' meadow of gold ' has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky Situated at 87 km from Srinagar at an altitude of 3,000 metres above sea level, the Sindh meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main river.Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier a major attraction during the summer months at ones own cost. Sonmarg is also base camp for Amarnath Ji Yatra evening return Boat Ride in Lake Dal ti see the scenic view of Zabarvan Range of Mountains and water and vegetable gardens Return back Check in Hotel for Dinner & Overnight Stay
Day 03: Srinagar – Yusmarg – Srinagar:
After Breakfast Proceed to Yousmarg is a set of meadows surrounded by Pine trees and Mountains.A very interesting place to visit is Nilnag Lake, which is surrounded by Tall pine trees .Yousmarg is about 47 km from Srinagar.It is believed that Jesus spent his last days here at this place in Kashmir,Yousmarg is said to be short form of “Yus” Youza or Jesus and “marg” means a meadow.
Also One can trek or take a pony ride to Doodh Ganga about an hour from Yousmarg.
Charari- Sharief can be visited on the way to Yousmarg ,this is the shrine of famous Kashmiri saint Nund reshi 1440AD.
Day 04: Srinagar – Pahalgam
Today after breakfast you will be transferred by road to Pahalgam, the Valley of Shepherds - Situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder river, situated at 2,130 m. Arrive and proceed to your hotel, rest of the day at leisure to explore the countryside Betaab Valley Aru Valley & Chandanwari Valley and can also do pony ride to Near By Valleys on your own. Day 05: Pahalgam – Gulmarg
This morning after breakfast drive to Gulmarg for overnight stay in Gulmarg, “Meadow of Flowers” situated at an altitude of 2730 meters, and a famous ski resort during the winters. On arrival check in at hotel and enjoy leisurely walks on the lush green meadows of flowers with a backdrop of the snow capped mountains OR enjoy an optional Gondola ride (Cable Car) at ones own cost.
