Avoid it, nor worth the money

Posted 10 Jan, 2016

Experiencing staying in the property esp services and management , it is a family run guest house and not actual heritage hotel...they manipulate even the number of mineral bottles taken, according to us it was 4, and as per their bill it was 8, which we paid to avoid conflicts... No records, no vouchers, no signatures, highly unprofessional. No rate card, no menu card, discriminating rates, the owner tells me 250 per meal, she tells my hubby 350 per meal and finally puts 400 per meal in the bill, which again we paid. At check in, we were told 5 year old child will not be charged at all, and she was charged even for meals she didn't have. The level of service other heritage properties give is level apart, horrible service from their staff. We were told u can add to fixed menu whatever u like, we asked for dal bati churma, we were told yes and finally got something else on table at meal time. We had breakfast included voucher but charged us for that too. They took our voucher at the time of check in agreeing breakfast is free, then put the same in bill and asked us to show the voucher which they had, moreover no Internet to open the same on our email. 2 days we were served maximum all different versions of green peas. Not done when we are spending 20k for 2 days, and it's not a small amount. We deserved clarity of rates at the time of check in, all we wanted was value for our money spent, which was highly disappointing. These people increase the rates the way they want, it's not good for reputation of their property, even a small guest house would have better professionalism. Absolutely worst management came across though we have been traveling extensively. Double the number of mineral waters, Wrong rates of meals than committed, Wrong number of even cold coffees, no wifi ... Please avoid going to this property even if pics attract coz the management and services are horrible, and that too is an understatement!

The food was fantastic with a homely service

Posted 28 Sep, 2013

Dear Team, I feel extremely priviledged to say that we all have had a beautiful experience during our stay at Fort Dhariyawad. The food was fantastic with a homely service. The owner of the Fort was very eager to provide all necessary amenities we had asked for and we were all feeling just at home even though away from home. I have decided to visit this place every 2 years with my family. The best part of the stay was the pleasant atmosphere at the Fort. We felt as if we were a part of the Royal family. This was the feel, we all had during our stay. Everything was Royal....the food...the service...the hospitality...the atmosphere and the people.... We wish Fort Dhariyawad and Team to keep up the good work. I have already shared my experience with my friends and family members and at my workplace and i wish everyone should at least visit this place. I thank you once again for the hospitality provided to my during my stay at Fort Dhariyavad. All the very Best...

Good interiors and exteriors ; delicious food

Posted 23 Dec, 2014

There was no problem in finding the hotel and it is located in the city. The interiors and exteriors of the hotel are good. It was actually a palace which was converted into hotel, it was a lifetime experience staying in such a place. The staff were good to me. The rooms were good and the amenities in the room were working properly. The room had a view of valley and the palace. There was no delay in check-in or check-out. The hotel organised various activities like trekking, city tour and a jungle lunch which was fun. The food quality was good. They will serve whatever you want. We tasted Veg food, which was good. The stay was value for money. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

The hotel was good and it was near to city. I visited the hotel for holiday purpose. The surrounding of the hotel was good and the appearance of hotel was old but it was good. Service of the hotel was good and the staff were also good and helpful. The room was neat and cleanly maintained with all basic amenities. We had the food in the hotel and it was good in quality and there many varieties. There were no activities but they arranged for sightseeing. Overall, the hotel was value for money and god good service. I do not have any suggestion for the hotel.

Staff were polite & nice rooms with all amenities

Posted 29 Apr, 2015

Hotel is conveniently located and no difficulty in reaching the hotel. Staff were polite and friendly in their nature and the room is nice with all amenities were in working condition. There is no view from the room. The food quality was good and the tasty was excellent. There was sightseeing trip organised by the hotel and it is value for the money. I would like to recommend other travellers to visit the hotel and no delay in check-in and checkout process. It was an official trip with colleges. I visited in November 2013.

The overall experience to this hotel was good. It was very difficult to reach to the hotel but after reaching there, we found that it's a good place. Clean rooms, good food, service is also good. The jungle was really nice. We enjoyed jeep safari as well. It was really a safari jeep. The breakfast was good. They prepare it as per your wish. The garden and sitting was great. Overall it's a nice property and altogether a different experience.
