"A small property with great ambience "

6.3/7
Posted 3 years ago

I was on a two days trip to Cochin and stayed here. Its a small property but has a great ambience, fantastic hospitality and a great location. The rooms are cozy and I enjoyed evening tea in the verandah. The best part is their restaurant which not only offers great food but has a jetty going right in the backwaters. You will get to see a lot of ships moving in the waters as the port is close by. Do go to the cultural center which is right opposite the hotel (it is opened till 7 p.m for cultural programs). I also took a ferry ride as the jetty is five mins from the hotel. I would recommend one should stay in the top floor rooms.

Fort House Overview

The hotel has a Kerala look and feel with Tiled Roofs and Wooden ceilings. The hotel is located near St. Francis Church, Vasco da Gama Residence, and Seagull Bar. From airport it is around an hour drive and takes 45 minutes from the nearest railhead of Ernakulam. From Alleppey the distance is about 50 km.
