Vagator Sightseeing - Fresh Water Springs

Goa is just not all about the beaches. Something that we don?t usually associate with this beautiful state is fresh water springs. Located in Vagator beside the beach you can head straight to these fresh water springs to wash off the salt off your body after a swim in the sea. If you?re wondering where Vagator is, it is in Mapusa district, north Goa. This beach has been a locale for many films.

The first fresh water spring is situated at the north of Vagator beach past the rocks at the foot of the hill where the beach looks like it ends. After a few meters you will find two shacks and the fresh water spring at the foot of the hill. The other one is situated in Ozrant beach and is a little difficult to find. So it?s best to ask the locals for directions. This fresh water spring is called by the name of zor which means ?spring? in Konkani.
