It was my relaxation trip with my friends. The staffs were very friendly and they were response quickly to the customer. The room was not so large in size, but it was very clean. The hotel was located at the centre of the city and it was very conveniently. The hotel didn't have own restaurant for food and drink. The booking and front office was also good. The check in and checkout procedure was on time. Overall, the stay at the hotel was good.
I visited this hotel with my family. I did not face any difficult to reach the hotel. The staff behaviour was good and helpful. The room was not that much hygienic. The washroom, pillow and blanket were not good in condition. The interior and exterior o the hotel was good. The hotel management was provided hot water and cold-water facility. The food quality was good with normal in taste. There were no activities provided by the hotel management. I would like to recommend but room should be maintained neatly.
It was an anniversary honeymoon trip for us to Kaziranga at GL Resort. We had already pre-booked the hotel and room for our 2 night stay, but our fist impression was not good. We had to wait for 2 hours to get our room arranged and check in. By the time we checked in, we had to get prepared for the jeep safari. But we were already late and there was a single jeep that charged us exorbitant price whereas we could have been on a jeep on sharing basis. Further, front desk service is not at all welcoming. Further, again the next morning, the elephant safari was discussed to be included in the package as the elephant safari was their in-house and not an external one. But after availing the safari, we were asked to pay. As regards the food services, it was good and staff took good care on that aspect. The rooms were pretty clean leaving the bathroom that were not upto the mark. The ambience was although was good and the adjoining area around the resort was good for leisure walk. But other than that, there was nothing in the resort to enjoy. All in all, I would avoid the GL Resort the next time.
The location is a bit far away from the main forests. while going from Gauhati to kaziranga this resort comes first. The main ride and safari elephant or Jeep safari is a bit distance from the location of the hotel. But it is god as it gives opportunity to see the lush greenery of the beautiful forests many a times. The hotel lawn is very nicely maintained with litle park. Atmosphere is calm and silent. Overall a good place to stay there except quality of food.
Jungle look resort. In side the jungle near central range of Kaziranga park. Location is awsome. View out side is good pure junglee. Food here was so so as it was in jungle so i think not much varieties avilable. Rooms here are cottage type fully spacious with raw look. One should have exprience to stay in such type of junglee exprience.
Stay at the hotel was great. I stayed here for two days. Rooms were not neat and clean. Both geyser and TV were available. Food was good. I did direct booking. There is no scenic view from the hotel room. No indoor game activity or gym is available. Parking facility is there. Hotel services are average and they need to make some improvements in their services. It is not that costly, quite in the budget range and it is recommendable to others. Location wise, hotel is nice. Appearance wise, it is an average hotel. Kaziranga is an excellent tourist spot to visit.

The setting is good. Cottages do give a flavor of bamboo huts of assam. But not well maintained! Linens were clean enough, but not the toilet and the floors. The geysers were not working properly. The seat and the covers of the toilet bowl was loose and had to fix it ourselves every time! They still to learn a lot about hospitality and the guests\' expectations. For eg., around 7 in the evening there was a knock on the door; will you believe - the watchman requests his mobile to be charged in our cottages! They resort is located near the beginning of the forest range. The \'real\' kaziranga is further 30 kms away!! They never tell us while you book it over the phone or when you check in. Never the less they have their own jeep and Elephant safari, and you do get to see animals. The safaris are likely (I need to check this point out) to be much more expensive than the govt run ones, which you do, for eg., if you get to stay in Aranya. The elephant safari lasted 2 hours which probably longer than what the govt. offers! so may be you get a little more here. Food is ok, very limited choices, and take an eternity to materialize! Coffee & Tea are from the wending machines! These are some \'not-so-great\' experiences we had. We visited a time early during the season, may be the services and maintenance would improve as the season picks ups.
A good resort type hotel. Neat and clean rooms and ample parking space. Food was good and room service was also available though we prefer to have food in the dining hall. They arrange for jeep and elephant trip. Elephant trip was the best and everyone should opt for the same. It's a lifetime experience to watch Rhinos so closely. Rooms were with hot water in bath with all required things and good housekeeping. My family enjoy the trip. Bargain for shopping as the price is not fixed.
eventhough it is a little away from the bustling forest ranges in kaziranga still it is place worth staying if you have your own vehicle.
I stayed in this resort on 07.02.2012 at room no CC-4. The cottage has many rats and big deadly spider. I have to call room boy to take out a big spider from bathroom.Walls have many holes through which insects and reptile can enter. It was a horrible night I spent there. In the night sounds of rat gave me so much problem.
