"Simply divine"

This is a Ganesh temple next to the beach. Therefore after a good darshan you can relax on the beach. The beach is little dangerous as the sand keep going down as you go inside. So please don't indulge inside the beach too much.

"Peaceful and Calm"

Amazing feeling inside the temple that cannot be explained in words. I was so calm inside while being in this temple. Totally Spiritual experience. And then when we move out of the temple the beach there is totally awesome. Its very good to visit early in the morning as then it is quiet. The place stays crowded on weekends but on weekdays its quite peaceful. Go there and experience yourself. It's amazing. You will find lockers and showers also there if you would like to enjoy the beach and take Bath there.

Ganapatipule has one of the cleanest beaches in coastal area. It is near to mandir and one can enjoy both Darshan and beach. There are water sports provided. We enjoyed the best.

"A good beachside temple"

  • 5.5/7
  • Posted May 9, 2016
The temple is located right on the beach, making it a very interesting location. As it is apparent from the name of the place, the temple is devoted to lord ganpati. It is very clean and well-maintained. Over the weekends it gets slightly crowded, but otherwise it is very calm and serene. We went during weekdays, so in the evening we had the temple almost all to ourselves. We squatted there for about an hour and saw a lovely sunset from there.

"Best place for weekends"

  • 6.0/7

Ganpatipule temple can be reached by road or railway. Nearest railway station is Ratnagiri. It is 40 km away. Although one can go and soak into divinity of the temple premises which is bang on the Beach, you can spend a good time with your family.

There are various options for stay here including one MTDC hotel. But it is better if you book it in advance as it is always full.

Ratnadurg fort is nearby which you can visit or just be at Beach side.

Temple is quite simple in built, not much commercial too. They serve Khichdi as prasad every noon. A good combination of pilgrim and fun destination for kids, have lots of other temples nearby too.
